Thedelldays Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 on goal difference...assuming the worst that hudders will win all of their games (which I still dont think they will)...3 more wins, with two games at home against poor teams to come.. surely, surely this team will do it... it has more character than I have seen from a saints team for years... this has to be our year....? Whitey Grandad Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 That's the most that we shall need. Just think of the effect that this result will have on Huddersfield. If they drop any points at all then our task becomes easier.

Saint Garrett Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 If we win the next 2, and Huddersfield lose at Brighton....it's all over ! It's not over yet, but its looking very good !

saints-cris Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 2 home games against lower table sides.. to me we jus need 3 points off Brentford and Plymouth. We CAN do this now!

beatlesaint Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 I reckon 2 wins will do it simply because I cannot see Brighton losing two home games in a row !
Ex Ringwood Saint Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Can not be a better way to win at Brighton... After all the talk we are the only team to beat them there this season and now can sniff the championship. Don' t blow it now saints!!!!
K,Billy's supersound Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 brilliant result and it sounded like chaplow did really well today and it certainly sound like we desevred atleast a point but great to be greedy. just goes to show to all the half time moaners and downers on here never give up and always believe. SNSUN Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Brentford will be a toughie, but picking up an unexpected but lovely 3 points here today should take the burden off our shoulders. Huddersfield's match with Brighton next week is MASSIVE for us - yes it's still in our hands, but a Brighton win would all but put us up, I feel we can pick up results no matter how arse we are. Very happy today.
RobM Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Winning today was the biggest hurdle and we managed to get over that, leaving just Plymouth as the only game I don't see us winning (I see a draw against a side desperate to survive).

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 At long last a statistical point on here that is not only accurate but does actually mean something - well done my Saints !
S-Clarke Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Win the two home games, pick up a point from one of the away games and that'll give us 87. That will be enough even if Hudders win 2 and draw 1 of their remaining 3 (meaning they extend their unbeaten record). They should get 86 points from their two home games, but I reckon they'll drop them at Brighton. I can't see Brighton losing their last ever game at the Withdean. I still think that'll do it, but these home games still make me nervous, they should be wins....but who knows!! still a lot of work to be done
saints-cris Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 If we can beat Brighton away, who were undefeated all season until today.. we can beat Brentford and Plymouth away. 6 points at home should be ours too. If we dont go up now it would be a catastrophy.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Monday is a must win now, Hudders will be feeling down tonight, lets not give them a lift Monday. They need to go to Brighton not really believing it's going to happen.

If we dont go up now it would be a catastrophy. If only it was that simple! If you apply that logic to it we should have beaten Walsall and Tranmere too! Very tricky and pressured games coming up - no doubt about it, but this result means we continue to lead the race.
