Man City v Saints - Half time chat

Got to get used to officials perhaps giving the benefit of doubt to top 6 teams - dont want nasty right ups in refs report afterall.... - gulf in class is obvious, but showing some spirit and first 15 we held our own - need to make sure we concentrate - and once again Davis beaten at near post - Clyne doing well, and ward-prowse looks the part.

would like to see a little bit more ambition when we have teh ball, but never going to be easy...

Come on Saints

Pretty proud of that first half. WE'RE BACK!!!

Great moment for Kelv, and for all the fans that travelled up there. 99% likely that that will be all we have to celebrate! Hopefully Lambert gets a run, even if it is practically ceremonial.

Our only chances of scoring will come from 1 or 2 set pieces in this 2nd half. If Lallana can deliver a better ball we might get lucky...............

Hasnt he been great though? For a 17 year old kid his composure on the ball is so impressive

When he's had time on the ball yeah, but he panicked with that clearance with no man anywhere near him. That's just inexperience.

Great potential though and he'l grow through this experience.

TBH get a few more corners with Lambert on the pitch and we might sneak one, Fox's delivery is brilliant.

Today was always going to be damage limitation - I thought we started brightly but after the Higeuro injury City started to play like champions. Possibly a bit lucky for it to only be 1-0 but we arent being disgraced. If we can have a tidy 2nd hlf and manage to keep the ball just a little longer we can take some positives from the game, even if it ends in defeat..

To be fair although the commentators picked up on that one moment of panicky clearing, Fox has given the ball away several times, with no mention.

Beginning to like Jamie Redknapp again!
