Saint Garrett Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 http://forum.planetswans.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=137964 Normally have a scan through oppo's forums after the game. Some nice comments. By far the best home atmosphere I've heard this season. Can't stand a bloody drum though. Very annoying!
The Kraken Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 "Loudest away fans at the liberty I've heard bar none". That can't be right, surely. Have Pompey never played there? They're bestest most pashunest fans ever.
Saint Garrett Posted 21 April, 2013 Author Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Yeah, I didn't think we were that loud tbf. Were in patches but couldn't seem to get much going cos they just seemed to drown us out.

My nipper also said it was the loudest home support we'd come across this season.
GazzerMaBoy Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 They do say the Welsh love to sing. Yesterday was proof in the pudding right there...!!!
Appy Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 They don't need the drummer. Hymms and Arias sounds fantastic when they sing it altogether.
saintchris23 Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Have you received the ST's VFTT? I posted them on Sunday and haven't got email access so hoping you say yes!
John Boy Saint Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Please can someone confirm that my ears did hear "It's a lovely day for watching the Swans" being sung. Land of my Fathers sounded very good from them.
lloydie Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Was watching it on TV and literally could only hear saints support for most of it. Commentators even mentioned how vocal we were... But it may have just been microphone placement that made us appear louder.

Berkshire Saint Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Yesterday was as bad as we've been in a while away from home in terms of noise. Swansea definitely the loudest home support I've heard so far this season, particularly in the first 15/20 minutes or so (when we barely touched the ball!). Sour Mash Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Our support were half awake and are definitely winding down for the end of season, always going to be an anti-climax compared to previous years. Swansea weren't bad, would say Stoke and actually Villa louder.

The Cat Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Stoke were the loudest I've heard this season for the last 15 minutes after they got it back to 3-2, but were otherwise silent. Swansea were better throughout the game and their tactic of singing the same song as us but louder shut us up. We were very quiet for the first 20 minutes mainly due to everyone wondering when we'd touch the ball but improved to hit the heights of average. Golden Balls Posted 21 April, 2013 Share Posted 21 April, 2013 Didn't go yesterday but I've yet to go to a ground in the prem this year with any real atmosphere. Especially disappointed with Liverpool. Silent.
