krissyboy31 Posted 4 December, 2008 Share Posted 4 December, 2008 I'm surprised at Flybe extention. Wouldn't have thought they have particularly had value for money over the last few years. I suppose we do have our fair share of tv appearances though, albeit losing ones.

I suppose we do have our fair share of tv appearances though, albeit losing ones. What exactly represents "value for money" here? Cheap sponsorship of a football club from a city where your company operates seems to make quite a bit of sense to me. Note they also sponsor Exeter and Inverness and have also sponsored Birmingham. All of which also have airports from which Flybe operates. Beginning to see a pattern here? It's not all about being associated with a winning team...thankfully... Oh and i forgot they sponsored Norwich...but they also fly from Norwich... Edited 4 December, 2008 by Scudamore I forgot Nahhrrrwich. Silly me. Pie should be served with mash imo. And gravy of course. Oh and i reiterate my point in case anyone at the club is paying attention. Just round all the prices up so they are divisable by 50p ffs. Because if you're going to employ mongloids that can't do basic arithmetic and people get frustrated at sitting at the back of a queue that is not moving you are then going to 1) frustrate and annoy your customers and 2) not actually get any money out of them... It's not rocket science. Sell as much as you can in 15-20 minutes. Make it simple for your simple staff...

derry Posted 4 December, 2008 Share Posted 4 December, 2008 I'm surprised at Flybe extention. Wouldn't have thought they have particularly had value for money over the last few years. I suppose we do have our fair share of tv appearances though, albeit losing ones. Southampton is the biggest hub that Flybe have, with about 20% of it's fleet based here, flying to about 30 destinations. Flybe made about £20m last year having taken over BA Express/Regional and look as though they might be taking over BMI Baby/Regional. They are carrying out due diligence at present. It is no surprise, as they obviously feel over the years that football gives good exposure and results, having sponsored Birmingham, Norwich and Saints and not surprisingly Exeter. They are owned by the Walker trust plus 10-15% by BA. The Walker trust owns Blackburn Rovers, a legacy from Jack Walker.

Please, please, please, please, please dear God let the club hire a catering company who can get good pasties in. How hard can it be? Two seasons ago I could look forward to a really decent pastie at half time. Since then they have not been good. Arizona Posted 5 December, 2008 Share Posted 5 December, 2008 Scummer Once you have purchased your flight ticket (in my case £268. Flybe will charge you a further !£15 (£30 eachway) to book a particular seat in advance of your Journey (24hours in advance) with BA you can get your boarding card sent to your email address with out having to que at the terminal desk to get your ticket. Flybe do have an online booking facility but it costs you. Almost every airline allows you to book your seat in advance with out extra charge so why ont Flybe (Okay Ryan Air and easy jet will make a charge) BA do not make a charge and encourage users to go online to bok their seat. Thankfully I can still book my flights via BA. even though I have to use Flybe to get to edinburgh to get the connecting flight. You cannot reserve a seat with Ryanair. TopGun Posted 5 December, 2008 Share Posted 5 December, 2008 Thats intersting Scummer. maybe they are discriminating against people who fly from scottish airports. I will send and email to flybe asking them to explain why they are charging £15 quid to book a seat. I can assure you up here in Orkney , The Flybe name is greatly disliked since they took over the franchise. The local people are boycotting flying to inverness and aberdeen because it has become so expensive, people are now taking the ferry. Just realised there is a similarity with saints here, People boycotting flybe as they have become very divisive. Bit like lowe and us fans, and to compound things the sponsor saints. The are even charging an extra £7 if you pay for your ticket with a credit card. The scotish parliment have gone and told them to stick that where they sun don't shine. and theres me walking around in a saints flybe jacket Their fleet is pretty new and they have to pay for it. St Chalet Posted 5 December, 2008 Share Posted 5 December, 2008 My company was involved in speaking to a premiership team last year about shirt sponsorship. I am not allowed to name the club due to an NDA but the deal was eventually signed (by another company) for around £0.5m. Flybe deal sounds fair business for CCC. Arizona Posted 5 December, 2008 Share Posted 5 December, 2008 arizona and that other **** if you bothered to check yor facts flybe have inherited a fleet of 14 Saab 340 aircraft from logan air/ba. Edit: Flybe have never opperated Saabs AFAIK. I've just checked, Logan Air opperate Saabs, and are owned by Flybe, but opperate under a seperate air opperators certificate and retains the Loganair branding.
