The Fat Controller Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 They can be be gut feeling, or wish lists within reality. Remember these are not linked but what you would like to see happen. Mine are: I Would like to see Chris Baird on loan from Fulham for the rest of the season Leroy Lita on loan from Reading for rest of the season If any sell on-clause money comes out of Wayne Bridge transfer to Man City then we force Chelsea to cancel Cork's loan at Watford and we get him instead of the cash In Reality though Surman & Lallana sold for peanuts and no-one else brought in, and no sell on clause on Bridge just the same as Shearer
benjii Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 TBH, if the same person who has been in charge of our transfers thus far this season (whoever that is) is in charge then I couldn't care less and will start deciding which League 1 grounds I wish to visit. Andy_Porter Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 Probably sign a couple of youngsters who can't get into league 1/2 sides and maybe another youngster on loan. Can't see us spending any money on a couple of experienced players which is what we need more than anything. A decent strong centre back, Saga back into the first team squad and a ball winner in midfield and we would probably be fine this season, more teenages with no experience and we will continue with our drop towards div 3. sidthesquid Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 Out All offers considered for Surman, Lallana & Schneiderlin A rapid shake of the hand if anyone out there is daft enough to agree to take on the ludicrous wages of Euell, Skacel, BWP or Saggy A reluctant shake of the hand to take Davis off the wage bill In More teenage loanees and a couple of frees (teenage) Gloomy though my predictions are, is there any alternative? (In the real world, I mean, not the fantasy buyout or we've got lots of money but Lowe won't spend it world)

Under Weststand Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 The only way we'd get Baird is if Surman / Lallana were to go to fulham & we get a loan deal with them paying most of his wages. wouldn't be bad though. Also like to see Lita or Dickinson from Derby on loan again unlikely as just been recalled from Blackpool. Desperately need at least 1 Centre back not sure who we can get though. ( But I so wish we could get Lita instead of rivals Norwich)
saint lard Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 With Shay Given expressing a desire to move from Newcastle i fear Kelvin Davis will be the next to depart, coupled with Surman and Lallana. Skacel will be out the door quite possibly soon. For some reason i think Euell will be off, wouldn't suprise me if he went to Forest.

trousers Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 Franco Matías di Santo Loan ? 'Long time registered/low volume poster who might know something' alert.... Franco Matías di Santo (born April 7, 1989) is an Argentine professional football player who plays as a striker for Chelsea. A transfer from Audax Italiano to Chelsea was confirmed on January 25, 2008 when he signed a four and a half year contract.[2] Di Santo spoke of his excitement at having joined Chelsea and his eagerness to prove himself, as Franco holds an Italian passport he was immediately eligible to become part of their team. Franco's younger brother, Diego is a prospect for River Plate.

(In the real world, I mean, not the fantasy buyout or we've got lots of money but Lowe won't spend it world) There is an alternative. Getting some players with pedigree in - central midfield, centre half and centre forward - would raise morale among fans and the increased gates would offset any additional costs. All other options will lead to certain relegation. What a mess we are in - thanks to Messrs Lowe and Wilde. Did they honestly think this experiment would work?? Still - two relegations will certainly lead to a resignation from Mr Lowe and an isolated Mr Wilde. Living 150 miles away and therefore more objective, I now believe that if Mr Crouch's plan had been agreed by Barclays, then we would be in a much better league position now. Do something before its too late RL and MW!
IronCitySaint Posted 2 January, 2009 Share Posted 2 January, 2009 There is no money due for Bridge as they paid all 7 million up front. Think it was widely reported at the time. Given that, we will sign 36 league 1 or 2 reserve players with the only requirement being that they are under 20 years of age (doesn't matter if they can kick a football). This will ensure we have competition for places with all the other loanees that currently sit on the bench. Of course, we don't have enough money to keep a good first team manager, but these 36 new players will be funded out of thin air. Transferred out will be any player that any other club wants.
