THE FANS ARE THE LIFE BLOOD OF THE CLUB!!!! Matt seemed to be hinting that the loss of the club finances is near to criminal neglect! Certainly that it is inexplicable how so much money could go missing. I think the Hampshire Constabulary may be interested in examining our shareholders finances after that! um pahars Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Matt was also pretty unequivocal in that he wanted the majority shareholders gone as well. Also made the point how no one has been prepared to accept their part in the downfall of the Club, but instead want to blame others all the time. SaintRobbie Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Great to see MLT coming off the fence and although not mentioning names summing up the ineptitude of the boardroom so well and saying all need to be removed from the club. Surprised to be honest - MLT is usually much more reserved. 'Only hope is a takeover'. I agree Matt. So, lets go and find one TOGETHER.

Under Weststand Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 bugger, i missed all of this cos i was watching animal park... lol Just a quick reprise of what was said. Stelling asked Matt about the state of the club referred to the stormy AGM the thirty pieces of silver thrown at Lowe. Matt questioned basically where all the money had gone from all the sales, stelling realed off a list of crouch bale extra extra said nobody would take responsibility for the position we are in & said we need a complete new board and start again. Thompson then asked a lot of similar questions & then hit at the new type of boards who alienate the fan base & said the Fans are the true life blood of the clubs. Very brief but the bare bones of it.

SaintRobbie Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Cheers for the brief mate MLT also said we're a Premiership Club in waiting with infractructure etc but a poor squad likely to lose the better youth players in the coming weeks. He also said only hope was for a takeover but where it would come from is unknown.

Lowe's management strategy got us relegated from the Premiership. 2. Wilde brought in useless executives who negligently managed the club's accounts. 3. Crouch backed Wilde's dreamland plan. 4. Wilde backed Lowe's dreamland plan. Matt's right they are all to blame and should sell-up.
IrishSaint Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 What a great bit by Sky, MLT and PT were perfect. It was great to hear from Matt on the situation, you can tell he really does have Southampton at heart! I totally agree with what he said and he was very clever how he said it: past and present board members are to blame but they just fight and blame each other. Southampton needs to get rid of them all, RL, MW, LC, LM, AC - they all have to take a share of the blame. The problem is, they all have big ego's, they might want to do things for good reasons but their ego's tell them to fight with each other. The AGM is a prime example, they are a bunch of kids at the end of the day. MLT explained that better than me but deep down, he had it spot on, well done! The suggested solution is exactly why I will not back boycott/protests as the answer is not so much getting those to go but getting decent guys in - unless I know there are people waiting to come in but are being prevented. View From The Top Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 I'm sure deep down even the most ardent Lowe, Wilde & Crouch supporters would struggle to disagree with Matt's views. You're joking right? SOG, Manji, Jonah, Crabby etc are so far up Lowe's @rse that he could be revealed as the reincarnation of Stain and they'd just say that he is misunderstood. It's these sort of co cks that moaned and moaned and moaned when Wilde and Crouch were in charge and didn't bother going to games who are about to get the club they deserve, in League 1. He could have appointed someone else with Premier experience, and I am not necessarily talking about Hoddle !

SaintRobbie Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Point 1: In other words the appointment of PS, a League 1 manager with no Premier experience. He could have appointed someone else with Premier experience, and I am not necessarily talking about Hoddle ! No - there was absolutely no mention of that being the reason I'm afraid. Just that all of the shareholders and boardroom before and since relegation have seemingly squandered alot of money and led us down... and are continuing to do so, thus ALL need to be removed and the club, which incidentally is well supported with Premiership infrastructure, needs a takeover... but from where? That is the key summary for me of MLTs words. The only hope is a takeover... now lets go find one instead of letting the Club continue to be eaten away. alpine_saint Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Ah. Were back to the baby eating mindset I see. Considering a picture of a train from Doncaster Rovers is more important than a picture of the only manager we've had to win us a major trophy - holding his achievement - in that man's eyes, anything is possible.
