No you don't need Kodi. You would download an app called Perfect Player on to your Firestick and load up the channels through that. They would talk you through the process.

All signed up for the year, £40 for all channels and I get to watch the uspga this weekend. Very easy to set up. Recommend it. Thanks..

what is perfect player and what channels can you get???

It's just a bit of software (free) which can play m3u streams - which IPTV providers distribute.

Best full IPTV provider I've ever used is epicstream (resold by boss hosting). I've mentioned them above, but they really are impressive. No logging into websites, no need for Kodi apps....just get yourself a free IPTV app on your TV or PC/Phone and you're away once you put in the URL they give you (and the username/password). They're not the chepeast IPTV provider, but so far the best I've used. You can get around 2,000 channels all in from all over the world, plus tons of on-demand and a really nifty catch up feature. It works out at about £10 per month for everything.

Full 4k Streams of all the Sky Sports channels too. Not a single hitch last night when I was watching the game on Sky Sports PL 4k.

Confused as to why everyone signs up for subscriptions, VPN's etc when links for 95% of Saints games can be found & streamed through Acestream in HD. Then stream effortlessly from PC to TV.

Am I missing something?

It’s not just for all the football available - I use it for movies, kids, VOD etc too. No VPN required.

Paid Sportsmania £10 this morning to renew the acount, the kodi app showing todays games but nothing working , i have the VPN on. Now using The Shizz site via kodi , paid a tenner and its working well, watching the Newcastle game and it doesnt need the VPN. Always liked SM but i think its dead now, twitter account down as well

I have it working fine. Both via Sky Sports and (my preferred option) Match day option (NBC Sport)

Have you downloaded the update Repo for KODI?

Sportsmania is working fine for me on Kodi and on phone via Kodi app, just watched 1st half of spurs game.

You need to download the new zip on Kodi via http://mania.guide/repo

Then just turn on your UK vpn (only if your outside UK)and then log in and go to match day 1 section and watch the game.

This zip is a temp solution until they push down the full update with all channels.

Edit added the VPN bit for non UK people

No i have not done that, not verygood withthese things, i use kodi via amazon tv stick, where or how do i upgrade the repo

as you would have done to add SM in the first place.

Settings, file manager, add source...add the source convict colony posted.....then settings, install from Zip...select the new repo....after a couple of mins, your SM should update

Signed up for SM no problem.

However, I can’t get to the browser stream selection page. Link just takes me back to my profile page. Annoying.

Anyone else with a subscription seeing this issue? I use browser streams rather than Kodi.

If anyone can get to the channel selection screen, can you please post the link to it here so I can give it a go?

Thanks

Browser streams no longer work. Kodi or android apps only. Just download kodi and use it through that.

It's a security thing. They can't offer browser streams because it's too easy to trace and shut down

I can’t believe that’s true. They don’t force you to use a vpn with Kodi and I have a browser vpn anyway.

My guess is that they couldn’t be arsed maintaining 2 delivery platforms. Which is fair enough, rather they would have kept the browser streams though. What a pain in the arse setting up Kodi is! Why would I want a full feature media centre just to run some video streams. All done but annoying!

Put kodi on your laptop/phone/tablet (assuming they are not apple products)

Setting up kodi takes about five minutes if you know what you're doing. Even if you don't you can just watch a video and then once it's set up it takes seconds to go into it.

Thanks both, yes it’s easy enough to install but it’s annoying that I need to do it at all. I don’t want or need Kodi apart from this, and the bloody thing messed up my madVR settings which have been set back to defaults.

Get an android box or a tablet and you can just use an app.

Why on earth would I want another box? [emoji4]

Re the IPTV suggestion - yes that’s the way I’ll go when this 6 months is up.

Because its better? My minix u9 android box is the best thing I've had for watching media.

Better than what? My brix i7 does HEVC hardware decoding for UHD content, plus it has the added benefit of being a fully functional windows computer.

I get that you like your box, but I really don’t need another media centre!

Thanks for the help anyway!

U can download the GSE iptv app from the app store.

If you have the unique smash iptv link you then open the app

1) Go to remote Playlist

2) click + (top right)

3) click add m3u URL

4) paste in your smash link

5) done!!

Your unique link should look like this

http://smashtv.ddns.net:9090/streams/XXXX XXXX

Just replace the XXXX XXXX with your unique number

Thanks for this, very useful.

Whereas Kodi gives me an ‘unable to play selection’ error, I was up and running with smash & IPTV+ in no time.

Is there a useful epg tool for this? Had to hunt through about 50 sports channels, now on bein sports 8 with no sound.

I never set up any epg I just use the below site to check which channels the games are on.

http://liveonsat.com/los_foot_br_premier_ONLY.php

You can add channels to favorites to make things slightly quicker. Can also add GSE Iptv app to firestick and stream through tv.

£45 for all the sky sports channels + 1,200 other channels + uploaded movies, TV series... Good times.

Have they given u a 12 digit code (mix of numbers and letters)

If do just add that to the end of the below and you should be good.

Alternative drop them a message on Facebook. Ive had mine for couple years now so unsure of the exact procedure for new customers.

http://smashtv.ddns.net:9090/streams/

Yep its a 12 digit code and I've added it to the end of the smash link you provided, having added a M3U URL in the gse iptv app but nada. Have sent them an email.

Iptv????

What is this?

Explanation for dummies please

IP = Internet Protocol (Short for TCP/IP which is transmission control protocol/internet protocol)

TV = Television

Most people who use the term IPTV probably don't know what it means so you are not alone!

Basically, it means that instead of viewing TV programmes by connecting your TV to an aerial, cable or satellite dish etc, you receive the programmes over the internet.

In addition to viewing web pages etc etc, its also possible to stream live or recorded programmes (including football matches) over the internet.

There are standard ways of doing this and I'm sure you have seen moving video on your PC eg BBC website.

There are also non-standard ways to send audio/video over the internet which may require special software or hardware to watch it. IPTV is not just limited to a windows PC. You can buy specialist hardware such as Raspberry Pi, Firestick etc which is aimed mainly at delivering IPTV to your TV set rather than having the whole range of capabilities (keyboard/mouse/hard drive etc).

Basically, its watching TV over the internet by connecting to your modem/router etc.

Hope that helps
