David Armstrong to be on talksport

So he's not feeling entirely blameless then? Funny how a couple of days can change one's perspective. That said, the goings on at the club are enough to wind anyone up.

I didn't get the impression from his interview that he was blaming himself.

He merely said he felt it had nothing to do with him espousing his opinion on the situation and all to do with an over zealous steward.

I give up. Someone can tell me about it, or I'll search Talksport's listen again facility.

Wouldnt bother, wasn't really informative and insightful,

When he started to go on about our talented nippers and how pretty and attractive the football is yet no end product i lost interest, heard it too many time over the last few months.

He was definatley careful of his wording when retelling the account of being "thrown out" of the Mick Channon Suite.

Oh please... Threatened with what exactly?

He was so utterly delicate about what he was saying. I got the definite impression he was holding back the whole truth and purposely steered clear of the Lowe joke made by the presenter, even if he didn't hear it his lack of response when the presenter confirmed is was a joke at his expense was deafening.

He sounded very well 'briefed' before his radio appearance.

Perhaps he was being professional and diplomatic. I seriously doubt Lowe has anything to threaten DA with.

Of course, he could have had a phone call saying - sorry, bad misunderstanding, come and have a free lunch next time you're not on air for a game which would also have likely caused David to be careful

But that wouldn't be forum - pc right now would it!

Although DA is used by the Club for hosting? I assume that comes with privileges?

Maybe so, but assuming DA would defend Lowe to retain his perks would credit him with no more integrity than the man himself.

I like to think mountains were made out of molehills on the day, simple as that.

You're probably right Ponty, but I still cant work out why he felt he had to go on talksport. If it was a mountain out of a molehill why go on one of the most listened to football radio shows to say.... nothing?!

Dunno mate, but then it's all a bit weird nowadays. Perhaps Talksport researchers heard about the fracas at SMS on Saturday, did a bit of digging, found this forum, read about David and contacted him for the interview. Who knows?

That seems logical, from reading this thread what DA said on Talksport (didn't hear it) it sounds similar to what he said on radio Hampshire on Saturday.

Hmmm...watered down opinion definitely...

Danny Kelly doesn't seem to like old Rupey eh...no wonder.

I always get the impression with Danny Kelly that he's a bit of a Saints supporter circa 1990 odd era. As if, from a neutral's perspective, he really loved the adventurous Chris Nicholl sides from way back then. And who can blame him..? Pretty damn good football that would skin this division without trying. It was one of the times when I was far away from watching the lads, most of the time, and is one of my regrets that I wasn't around all the time.

DK sounded kind of disappointed that Big Dave didn't vent his spleen over the Boardroom shenanigans...was he expecting him to??

I have no doubt he has been leant on (whether by RL or Radio Hants) between this interview being booked and broadcast.
