Agree. At the last home game vs Liverpool there was a Pool supporter with his missus two rows in front of us giving it large most of the game. A few of us complained to a Steward who just had a “quiet word” and let them stay in their seats.

A few seasons ago a Leeds supporter was in the Kingsland , he leapt up when they scored and was escorted out , I didn’t think it was really necessary but modern football …..

Having read most of the comments on this 8/9 page thread, whilst watching the fan forum on youtube, prompted me to renew my subscription finally, rather than just lurking in the bushes reading all the comments.

I honestly couldn't say if i am Ralph in or out at the moment. I must say I've been very much Ralph in for basically all his tenure of our club, but as we all know, since march we have been god awful.

I thought the Fans forum was abit of a damp squib. I often wonder, where do they find these idiots who ask the questions? There were literally 2/3 good questions.

The fan who went to 38 games and then used 2 games as his example of coming home disappointed when we did actually do well.. facepalm. JWP testimonial, what a daft question. Rainbow shirt guy, useless.

For me, the positives:

-Ralph clearly cares about our club and still has that passion which I would say most our fanbase love(d)

-His closing words were I felt genuine, and i do hope he turns it around.

-We could be run by far far worse guys than Martin and Toby. I felt when the questions were actually good ones, they answered as best they could, it felt genuine.

-I still like Adam Blackmore.

Negatives:

-Strange answer for me on transfer policy and formation. On the one hand saying some of the younger new players need time to learn the 4-2-2-2 so 5-3-2 is the preference (correct me if I'm wrong) but then are we saying we are singing player who aren't ready?

-Martins reply to the good question at the end that our best target is to stay or break into the top 10. I felt it summed up the feeling of we should be happy and grateful we are actually in the Premier league. Surely that's not enough ambition?

-Ralphs answer to an earlier question about how we must work harder than the other team, tbf as we did after project restart when it was superb to watch us. But all of us can safely say that our pressing game has all but disappeared of late?? what is his philosophy?

Overall, the stadium and fan seating was a predictable answer. Womens team (whilst great) is merely a sideshow which was probably pressed alittle too hard. The real questions we wanted asking, were not, i.e ownership? how involved are they? is there more money to spend? do we need to sell to balance the books? whats our goal for the next 2-3 seasons?

Anyway, i do feel if we are shit against Leeds, surely Ralphs time is nearly done. My first post back in along time, go nice :)

Personally, at the end of the 2020-21 season when matches were being played behind closed doors and the team went on a run of four wins in 21 league fixtures, losing 15 of them it was because the fans just weren't behind the team enough and weren't "into it" enough. We need to look in the mirror.

It’s not just fans, it’s the culture of the club, top to fucking bottom. Of course we can’t compete with the top sides, that ship sailed years ago, but we can fucking compete with half the friggin league. We need a few pirates to de-Noddyfy the club. Watching Ralph suck up to Klopp & Pep sums it up for me. And when was the last time one of our players was booed or abused by the opposition? Forget “nobody likes us, we don’t care”. We're “everybody likes us but nobody cares.” We’re becoming a nothing noddy club. Soft as shite, and grateful the big boys let us play against them.

Branfoot telling us we couldn’t afford to live in the same street as Leeds many years ago (possibly 30) was galling at the time but we all understood the logic to it.

The inferences from Semmens and the current board that we can barely compete with the most of the league including Brighton’s, Palaces etc, or whoever doesn’t stack up to me.

Too accepting of a humble status as you say.

Doubt this is what SR signed up for. We’ll never be too 6 etc but no reason we can’t compete in the Europa League hopefuls.Hopefully they will inject some ambition again to compete.

You need to post more, that was a great summary.

I think there is an acceptance that we are signing players who aren't ready from day 1, but you do start to question what on earth is it we're getting them ready for. Salisu took a year, Broja a month or so.

I accept that the pressing triggers in a 4-2-2-2 take some time to master, which is part of the point he was talking about, but maybe Ralph is just making it too over complicated.

I just watched it and thought it was fine. Ralph’s comments on Broja were interesting, sort of confirmed what I thought in that he suddenly stopped giving a shite as soon as he made his name.

I really don’t get what all you lot are bed-wetting about.

Exactly I thought everyone spoke well and the panel were great and straight forward with their answers. I do think we should be a bit more upward thinking instead of being grateful to be in the league, my only issue. But then they stated the aim is to be top 10 so say that more than being grateful etc.

Ralph's been honest, his direct style will rub people up the wrong way but at least he's not being wishy washy

Martin has been a bit too confrontational and defensive for me.

Toby gave a poor response to the away fans issue, basically dismissing it as not a problem, when it obviously is.

You refer to Ralph, Martin & Toby when you really mean Hasenhüttl, Semmens & Steele. Relations between the club and fans are at rock bottom so the notion of personalising relationships is farcical. They don't give a fishes tit about the views of fans as is pretty obvious when they have to endure being in the same room as us riff riff for one hour. I'll bet they were in their cars within 30 seconds of the final whistle.

As for blabber mouth Blackmore, he just had to let us know that he had just secured another 3 year contract with the Beeb. He has no self awareness, never shuts up, hogs all the attention, asks his own questions rather than fans and generally irritates the F out of everybody. It's not about you Blackmore!!!

A disastrous evening. The smug, self satisfied complacency on show here will take us down. We really need a total clean sweep of all this lot - excluding Marion of course

This is nonsense. You will struggle to find many other Premier League CEOs, CFOs and 1st team managers who do fans forums. They are under no obligation to do them and yet they choose to do so.

I took that as just managing expectations. We’ve got a very young squad, if they banged on about aiming for the Champions League all it does is dump a load of extra pressure on the players. The new signings are not just young but also pretty much all making a big step up, they need the added pressure of fans’ lofty expectations like a hole in the head.

The players will have their own expectations, what the that is and what they say in public will probably be totally different. Every professional footballer will aim to win every single game so it’s all bollocks anyway.

Is he just a harmless lunatic or are we going to hear about him one day on the news and say there were always signs?

To be fair he has a point, Easyjet customer service is dreadful. In fact most companies levels have gone down dramatically the last few years what with them trying to save costs whilst earning crazy profits. Keeping customers happy seems to be way down the list of priorities.

...but what is the point of them when they are as disingenuous as this one.  Ralph makes it up as he goes along and the Semmens utterances are condescending bullish*t.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 A comprehensive and accurate account of the forum/Blackmore show ! Agree on every point.  It’s a cosy trio that’s starting to show its arrogance and disdain when the natives are a bit restless!
