It beggers belief, and this goes across politicians from all parties. They know full well that they have to be whiter than white and that they have to be absolutely thorough regarding their financial affairs, yet we continue to get these issues.

That’s the third fib in as many weeks.

He’s telling them at a Farage-esque rate.

Labour party - internal squabbling, new leader fight about to be triggered after only 2 years with a monster majority to get shit done.

Greens - leader being investigated for unpaid tax.

Reform - leader being investigated for £5m 'personal gift'.  Members being kicked out for being racist.

Lib Dems - leader is a complete loon.

It beggars belief that from all the political parties, Badenoch is currently the most sensible of the lot.

Whilst this is all true, you have missed a bit out

Today's the day for protests in London - you can tell the weather is warming up, don't remember many of these in the winter!!

One in support of Palestine, one anti Islam one.

4,000 police officers being deployed to keep them apart and over a £million being spent to do so.

Let's hope they are largely peaceful - or they make enough arrests to cover the policing costs with fines ;)

Remember the bench mark for largely peaceful is less than half the people getting arrested than are there.

The warmer weather means the Woke league is in full swing again, Palestine quick out of the blocks this spring looking forward to a good summer of supporting every cause I’m told to

Police caught the two National Front responsible for the hit and run in Stirchley trying to join today’s parade of thugs (sane applies to the Palestinian March as well) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx217901n00o

Policing both of todays ludicrous and unnecessary rallies costing £4.5m https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3d2ryyz0jzo

The Unite the Flag/NF one saying white working class people are discriminated against. If they weren’t intent on being violent and listening to racists speaking, how many white, working class people would receive life-saving operations with £4.5m?

A: rather a lot.

I thought the same with regards to the cost, but with a budget of £3.9billion per year, the met police cost is over £10million per day, so a significant amount of that money would be spent anyway...

They did a good job though, keeping the two odious groups apart. Robinson’s rally got just half the numbers of September’s, the football thugs wanted to watch the FA Cup final it seems. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckgpznn202po

One odious group IMO. I have no time for  Tommy Robinson or some of the others but take a look at Trevor Philips comments about the previous March last September.

EDI as a principle is based on the equality act 2010, addressing discrimination and disparities for under represented groups, as determined by the data and evidence (EDI is a data led sector).

If they can evidence white working class men being discriminated against through data and evidence, then they can weaponise EDI, and use the same principles to address their grievances in the same way that the so called woke brigade do so for other under-represented groups.

Both as bad and as racist each other IMHO.

Failed to reach a verdict for the fellas that broke the female police officers jaw at Manchester Airport - jesus wept.

Fuck’s sake.

Can’t blame politicians for that, or even the judiciary, that’s a jury’s doing, and presumably split amongst ethnic lines.

Disgraceful. It was on camera IIRC as well?

If a white person broke a British Asian officer’s jaw like that I’d convict them 100%.

Yep it's all on CCTV, it's horrendous, how they can fail to reach a verdict is beyond me they claimed self defence which is just incredible

Whichever jury members went for acquittal - irrespective of ethnicity, white etc - they’re morons.

Must have been pretty tasty the debates and discussions on the jury itself.

The government is probably correct to be reducing jury trials because no chance that’s not jail otherwise.

Just plant a gun on the cunt and bang him up. Also maim any of the jurors that acquitted. They say you get more hard line the older you get.

Yes makes a mockery of the bs argument that you don’t get justice without a jury system. Excitable right wingers take note of this one

The Henry Nowak case is sickening.

As is no custodial sentence for these lads, from Southampton Crown Court. No wonder there’s disgust right across the spectrum politically.

Judge Nicholas Rowland needs extensive retraining before being allowed anywhere near a courtroom again. It’ll get overturned but very poor from the courts and costing needless extra money https://news.sky.com/story/attorney-general-receives-multiple-requests-to-review-lenient-sentence-of-boy-rapists-in-hampshire-13546972

Too much focus on "rehabilitation" of the offenders - the victims are almost incidental.

I remember reading about those offences, they were horrific. The judges sentencing remarks beggar belief - "I should avoid criminalising these children unnecessarily...".

That sends no kind of message. They're odious little cunts who not only need criminalising, they should be named, shamed, marignilised, and properly punished.

Get them prosecuted, imprisoned and on final day of sentence permanently deported.

Came illegally and given refugee status. Taking the piss. Sex offenders and people traffickers welcome.

Maybe got some sympathy when processing as the Taliban doesn’t let them do such things (I guess)

Some contraction was inevitable from the boom in small start-ups after Brown’s Small Brewers Progressive Beer Duty reforms, plus 30% of Gen Z not drinking, but the support of tax relief has been far too slow.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9werp5keqlo

Pub cos have a great deal to answer for too. They’re not all bad because one of my local pubs is 15th century and the maintenance is hefty. But it’s taken two closure periods and a more experienced landlord coming in to say to Stonegate ‘we need more variety and choice in what we’re selling’. Two different ales from before and always has a local one on = doing much better.

Open up tied pubs to more guest products = rising tide lifts all boats. The big lager brands brewed under licence are declining albeit they’re still huge. Nothing against lager but make it good e.g. Utopian in Crediton or import it.

Finally, offer Gen Z and those as designated driver to rural pubs 0 options for beer, wine, spirits that fit in better with their company for the evening. I don’t know why Guinness don’t offer their very popular (and very good) Guinness 0.0% on keg, it would make a fortune and really help pubs. Gloucester Brewery and Deya do some great 0% beers, Hobsons in Shropshire. I enjoyed Little Swine from Hogsback Brewery last night. Better that than brewed under licence Carlsberg or even worse, Carling on the taps.

Finally, some pictures below from a Cotswolds brewery tour we did autumn 2024. Hook Norton Tower Brewery pictured as referred to in the article and their taproom and eaterie is superb. They have Christmas markets etc as well. Also, North Cotswold brewery are superb as well - last two pictures, one of them a pint of their Mild freshly brewed.
