Yep just seen that. Will be interesting to see the profile of this individual. Is it a gangland type thing? I will never understand the mindset of people who routinely walk around carrying a knife. Unfortunately it's disproportionately younger people (although 32 isn't that young tbf) and sadly there's an insidious element within some black cultures that mean they think carrying knives is acceptable. Maybe it's a mental health thing after all.

I disagree. People who are suffering from mental disorders, hearing voices or whatever are far less likely to inspire or recruit others to do similar in the future. I'd feel better knowing that some looney had just flipped his lid, than knowing there was a terrorist cell out there with a clear agenda to harm as many people as possible on a repeat basis.

TBF I did post this when the thinking was there were two people involved which rather eliminates the possibility of mental illness.

It's not just a black thing. We've now got security guards at our local school due to travellers vs scumbag locals. There was a death earlier this year when a traveller stabbed to death another kid in the 6th form.

Yeah makes it a lot clearer and points to mental illness.  Imagine if the innocent guy arrested had his picture circulated etc like so many demand immediately?

Slightly separate note but some of RMT’s demands when striking were around reducing staff on trains and they cited concerns for passenger safety. Appears one of the rail staff was a hero in tackling the guy and is now fighting for his life,

Almost as if they could be striking for the correct reasons.

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that I live in a very white area and we seem to have lots of issues with it - carrying knives is no longer the black cultural thing you seem to think it is.

It is a black cultural thing within some black cultures although not all obviously. It's also a problem within some other communities as well. Highlighting one problem when a crime is committed by someone from that community isn't denying that problems exist elsewhere.

Lets see what the final motive is. I suspected it was an Islamic radical to be honest based on the initial reports, which isnt really very surprising with recent history.
