Netanyahu has petitioned Israel's President for a pardon, despite his trials for corruption beng still underway.

A number of countries have announced they will boycott Eurovision because Israel are being allowed to compete. Several others are considering doing the same.

( If enough bail out, maybe the UK would have a chance ).

An interesting example of a failed attempt to 'weaponise and exploit antisemitism to pursue political agenda' that's worked it's way through the legal system. The judge's/legal teams comments make very interesting reading

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq8d9lp5y9jo

No charge against the Bob Vylan Glastonbury chanting either (Note how the CAA pop up here again)

The CAA should be campaigning against anti-semitism. The judge makes it fairly clear what they are actually doing.

All taking time and resource away from dealing with genuine cases

Women and children killed as IDF helicopter gunships attack Gaza.

Ceasefire, my arse.

Edit; just read that Israel give an "official" Palestinian death toll in Gaza of 70 thousand.

No suggestion that that the 8 Palestinians seen took any action, just that they were seen somewhere that Israel has occupied. 31 now dead as a result.

That's well over 500 killed and 1500 injured following the "ceasefire", since when there have been over 1300 ceasefire violations by the Israeli military.

Indeed, not his fault who's in charge of the country of his birth, or that they have mandatory military service.

Sadly it's not too dissimilar to the treatment that ordinary Russians/Belarussians got/what was deemed acceptable after what Putin did 4 years or so ago.

When the boot was on the other foot we let the rot set in, now it's on our foot we as a country now seem to be wondering why we have a problem with anti-semitism

Tucker Carlson interviews Mike Huckabee, US Ambassador to Israel:-

Carlson asked Huckabee about a biblical verse in which God promises Abraham that his descendants will receive land “from the wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates – the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites”.

Carlson pointed out that this area in modern geography would include “like, basically the entire Middle East”.

“The Levant … Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon – it’d also be big parts of Saudi Arabia and Iraq,” Carlson said.

Huckabee said: “I’m not sure it would go that far, but it would be a big piece of land.”

He continued: “Israel is a land that God gave, through Abraham, to a people that he chose. It was a people, a place and a purpose.”

Pressed by Carlson on whether Israel has the right to that land, Huckabee responded: “It would be fine if they took it all.”

Extremism and fundamentalism in action.

Can you imagine if someone turned up on your doorstep and said that they were entitled to your house because it says so in a dusty old book? I’m thinking of starting a religion which says I am entitled to Cornwall.

But it isn't a "dusty old book", it is The Word of God..........apart from the revised Word of God 2.0 that Christians use, or the Word of God 3.0 that is read by Muslims. ( Don't forget the golden plates that form the upgrade to Word of God 2.1 that were revealed to Joseph Smith ).

Can you go to your local Mosque and convince them they are mental for following the words written in a dusty old book?

Three absolutely appalling nations, leaders and governments entering into conflict with each other.

Negotiations ongoing, Iran had conceded all of it's uranium stockpile as per Oman's mediator bloke, Israel then strikes saying that the date had been decided weeks ago. That doesn't suggest any desire on the US/Israeli part to have peace, or it suggests that Israel were concerned about the prospect of a deal so did it's thing.

Don’t make out Iran to be the peacemakers. I loathe Trump but Iran leadership is pure evil

The attack was always going to happen with ever changing US/Israel goalpost shifting.

Don't make Israel and US out to be the peacemakers.

Israel probably kicked off now because they want to involve the Yanks before the midterms, in case the MAGATs lose their majority, and/or Trump has his wings clipped by Epstein.

Of course it was. The negotiations were quite obviously just a sham, intended only to give them some semblance of moral justification.

Very few people, not even most Iranians, would mourn the overthrow of the Ayatollahs. But we've been here before with Iraq, and we all know full well the motivations of Trump/Netenyahu are not as pure and altruistic as they want us to believe.

What's that got to do with the US and Israel not being peacemakers? The middle east is all about Israel and US hegemony, you know that.

Yep. Medieval cunts, genocidal cunts and MAGA cunts. All deserve each other.

George Galloway of all people talking sense. Trump wouldn't take yes for an answer is a great line.

"Israel has launched an attack on Iran. Air raid sirens are wailing throughout Israel. All is unclear at this stage except this: once again US negotiations were a low-down trick. Nothing the Iranians could have done would have avoided war. Trump wouldn’t take yes for an answer.
This is a lesson to all who still have faith in negotiations with the USA.
In this lawless world political power comes out of the barrel of a gun. Trump’s words are not his bond  they are merely more lies.

Probably the US knowing Trump.

Either way, it's a shocking attempt at justifying this, and rather ignores the US supply and support of Israel.

The bottom line re the latest aggression is that the  pretext of protecting the US is utter bollox.
