The political influence of a higher education institute may affect an individual for perhaps 2 elections post graduation, but surely after that their voting preference is going to be more influenced by the "offer" in manifestos and lived experience.

TBF, there's been much normal discussion over the past few weeks - and there has been one main reason for that. I'll give you a guess as to what that reason was.

Marketisation has made universities completely different to when we studied there regardless when they were part of the public sector landscape which is not the case these days.
