The sentence which stands out (familiar for Reform) is ‘It has not fully faced up to the fiscal realities facing the next Welsh Government’.

Labour hasn’t helped itself there with the daft 20mph zones and sleaze. That’s hurt them far more than immigration in Wales.

They don’t even know what their own policy is when you look at the squabble between Farage and their Welsh leader. They can’t hide as it gets nearer to a GE and it’s a make or break issue for them, because their seat targets in ‘left behind’ dumps rely on it.

Indeed. Lowe said the NHS should be "dismantled and reassembled", Farage has talked about a French style system, their "contract" with the public says nothing in particular, later saying it was a "working draft" which means they haven't got a clue what their position is.

Lowe isn’t in Reform, for a bloke criticising people “don’t understand” you’re pretty dopey yourself.

“Reform UK officially states they will keep the NHS "free at the point of delivery.”

The UK isn’t particularly free at the point of delivery anymore than the French is, what are prescription charges? You have to pay before you receive treatment. 

Yet you’re critical of the French health service , which is far better than ours, based solely on the fact Nige is a supporter of it. Ridiculous position to be in, all that matters is our health care is improved. There’s a reason no other country copies ours. 
 

This is the problem, trying to debate our horrendous health service, dinosaurs like you are stuck in the 1940’s and won’t consider any other system. Though at the end of the day, if the people vote for it, that’s what they’ll get.

Lowe is an elected Reform MP, and made that comment whilst serving as a Reform MP. 

I know what their contract says, I referred to it, and their subsequent comment that it's a working draft, ie bollocks that they're rowing back from. 

I haven't said anything critical about the French system. It's your mate Farage who mooted adopting it. That is not a free at the point of entry system. 

Re the last bit. The difference between us is that you don't seem to give a fuck anyone else. A French style system, or an insurance based system, wouldn't work for huge swathes of the population. 

And you calling someone else a dinosaur. The irony.

The enshitification of councils getting worse is here.

Years of austerity and government cut backs. Now there will be a number of minority led councils where potentially shit won't get done. 

 

People voted as they did, I just wonder who they'll blame when nothing happens.

Starmer for not getting it fixed in under 2 years, thankless task for new blood, etc. 

It's not a shiny outlook. Our markets are slowly catching up with the economic reality.

Everyone else but the people they should blame - themselves. Shit judgement in 2016 and it’s been Boris, Sunak, Starmer and now it’ll be Reform’s fault.

They are left behind areas for good reasons.

'Glenn Gibbins said that Nigerians should be “melted down and used to fill potholes”. 

Newly elected Reform UK councillor has been suspended after he complained on social media in 2024 about the “amount of Nigerians in town”, according to campaign group, Hope Not Hate. The comments have since been deleted. 

On Sunday, Reform deputy leader Richard Tice refused to directly criticise the Sunderland councillor and accused the media of “smearing” the party. '

What a lovely bloke.

The fact that Tice gave the whataboutery response showed how emboldened Reform are and the very racist origins underneath are showing through. The only positive is that along with a total absence of policies nearer the GE is that this increased boldness will be their undoing + tactical voting. The Greens have been widely anti-Semitic too, but that’s irrelevant to the Neo-Nazi comments of his own candidate.

It’s certainly appropriate to the thread but there can’t be any genuine Saints fans there, after what Lowe did to the club.
