macca155 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 If our team can't dispatch a promoted side, that won't have had chance to fully integrate new players, then it really is going to be a long season. They just need to blot out all the noise before hand. As long as they absorb the inevitable early pressure, then Downes, Fernandes, and Charles should be able to take control of the midfield. Even without any additional signings, Dibling, Robinson, Edizie, Armstrong, and Stewart, in any combination, will keep their defence occupied. We all need to have a bit more faith. 10

My head agrees with all of this and if I hadn't watched the 24/25 season I would be totally on board with it. Scar tissue everywhere these days. 4
2Morrow Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) Wrexham need 11 new players to compete at this level, opening day is absolutely the best time to play them. They are not Birmingham, who won the league at a canter, they are coming up at the level of Plymouth, Rotherham, Pompey, Derby, Oxford. Solid squad of upper L1 players that can dig in and get a solid amount of points, but we should be seeing this as a way to ease our way into the season and get points on the board. spyinthesky Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Jay Rodrigues, possibly Danny Ings and Stu Armstrong plus Phil Parkinson (Manager) Bit of an Ex Saints game!!

Ipswich came second, just like Wrexham.

Pamplemousse Posted Wednesday at 06:02 Posted Wednesday at 06:02 TV games up to the end of September will be announced either today or tomorrow. I don't think we'll be seeing a lot of 3pm kick offs... 1

Pamplemousse Posted Thursday at 15:03 Posted Thursday at 15:03 Or not... the EFL have postponed the announcement until tomorrow
Pamplemousse Posted Thursday at 16:06 Posted Thursday at 16:06 Ooops, we weren't supposed to announce them, presumably a scheduled tweet was set up. Swiftly deleted but the Ipswich and Portsmouth games are Sunday 12pm kick offs.

Dr Who? Posted Thursday at 19:41 Posted Thursday at 19:41 Nothing on the official site as yet, or the BBC. I presume it is because of the above mentioned? So there could be more than the 2 above changes? If not 3pm Hull is out the window for me.

The announcement was scheduled for this morning but the EFL postponed it until this afternoon when the Diogo Jota news broke shortly before and then postponed it again further, until tomorrow Saints had set up their post to go live automatically at the previously agreed time but forgot to remove/change it in their schedule once the EFL told clubs they would hold off until tomorrow, which is why it was very briefly live before getting taken down earlier today It’s just Ipswich and Pompey moving, in addition to the previously announced earlier kickoff for the Wrexham game Edited Thursday at 20:16 by CSA96 1

They’re obviously going to bubble both games unfortunately, so doesn’t really make a difference.

Still a pain for home fans that rely on trains to get to games, buses also fairly poor on a Sunday morning, home atmosphere will be disappointingly flat and sober for such a game
Football Special Posted Friday at 06:57 Posted Friday at 06:57 Ipswich away on a Sunday midday is awful for travelling fans as well

Aren't our games with them almost always early KO's? If people can't get up for playing them lot at home for the first time in 13 years then there's seriously a problem regardless of KO time. 2
