Could do without this being our next game to be honest.

I agree, it’s not great timing but it is what it is.

We are behind them in the league for the first time in years, that should be the biggest wake up call needed. However with a totally shambolic defence,we will probably have to score at least 3 goals to win.

Problem is, they’re gonna be bang up for it and used to winning.

We are… let’s face it… shit and got a lot of new signings to bed in. Not looking forward to it tbh.

The atmosphere is going to have to do the heavy lifting in this one.

No excuses, play your part or sell your ticket.

Or look at it the other way. If we beat them it could kick on our season. Transfer window will be closed, no uncertainty over players leaving or coming in, hopefully no three at the back anymore. Or it goes the other way and the "I'd rather have Martin than Still" thread is revived.

Six pointer already and as others have said the formation has to revert to 4 ATB. Their midfield isn’t great but it will still get the better of ours if we don’t switch formation.

Oh and McCarthy in goal.

It's a fixture they've been fucking desperate for for  years.

When we were relegated last season I remember a comment from them, "next landmark is to get back above the scum, see our name above them in the table, where we belong"

First time for what, 15 years?

And here we fucking are thanks to Sports Republic

Just got to do our bit as fans, turn up and make it as intimidating as possible , get behind the team and hope Still can  actually make a team out of them in the next two weeks

No uncertainty over fickle Fanny sick note Flynn as presumably he’ll be getting cuddle time and rest days from Russel if he survives tomorrow

Josh Murphy is their standout, be handy if someone comes in for him before the window ends.

And they've got a handful upfront in Bishop, need to watch him as I think he'll get a lot of joy like Keifer Moore did in the Wrexham game

Don’t fear them at all. Yeah we ain’t great but new players will been bedded in a bit. Hopefully someone offers Murphy a transfer which should properly fuck them at short notice.

And should bw some atmosphere to intimidate the bastards

Yeah, no pace but a physical presence up top, kind of player we normally struggle against

I've said once but on a different thread.

We must have exactly the same atmosphere as the home game v West Brom playoff semi.

Even Fellows mentioned it in his interview nothing less, even more.

Leicester have been credited with an approach from some of their ITK's, and their journos aren't denying the chance of him moving. One to watch.

Why Leicester would want him is beyond me though.

A lot will depend on the impact our new players make.

We definitely need a proper Centre Forward but unless Stewart is fit and is selected we dont have one

Would be handy, we've got transfer window to complete then down to work for this game.

Any idea how many players we'll have on international duty compared to them ?

I know Baz, Manning and Azaz will be away with Ireland

They've got a few Aussies in their squad who will be away, and some South African's. No idea who they are.

Not sure if the lad Fatwu, if that's right, plays in the same position, they are going to be doing really well to hold onto him by Monday night.

The idiot on Solent (Scums commentator or pundit) said that Murphy is miles better then Fellows and doesn’t understand why we didn’t go for him instead!!

Yep I heard that same thing, they certainly don't have a clue about football.

Let's hope its high intensity not side to side, slow boring football sending fans to the concourse where alcohol is a bigger draw. I suspect safety first tactic during first 80 mins.

Love the sentiment (and I fully subscribe to it), but our fanbase has gone properly soft.

Heaven forbid we go behind. The ground will be silent.

He’s banned. And even if he isn’t, the bell won’t be coming in.

I’m not worried about the atmosphere. The whole city will be different that day, always has a buzz about the place like no other when those cunts are in town stinking the place out.

A few rumours that the away end at least won't be selling alcohol. Hopefully with the bubble, there won't be any issues in the pubs/fanzones being open before the game.

By the way, if anyone has a ticket spare I can pay a good price, plus drinks before hand! :D

Might be a good time to sack off the missus/kid for a day as last derby I saw Crouchy scored a last min winner 😅

‘Ding Dong, Ding Dong, where’s your bell gone?’

Recall us also singing ‘have you ever had a shag?’ In 2003.

Some of the GRT songs during those game are probably a stadium ban these days though….

I'd start McCarthy for this one - he's the only member of the squad who played against them in 2019 (Stephens was only on the bench) - his experience will be crucial in such a game.

Not sure about the fan zones (surely they won't miss a chance to make some money) but a few pubs in town are apparently planning to open nice and early

We HAVE to tighten up defensively. This 3 at the back experiment hasn’t worked and I’m certain we’d have more points on the board playing Still’s favoured formation, even if he thinks we didn’t have the players for it.

They had a shit scrappy win against Preston today but it’ll have given them a lift, and seeing how leaky we are at the back. We’ll need to start well

Same thought. Are debuts in this type of intense game sensible?

Will get the complimentary bit out the way. Mousinho is a great coach; Shaunessy and Poole have a decent partnership at CB and Murphy, Segecic and Bishop are good players for the level.

Other than that: Cunts, especailly that stinky parasite with the bell.

Going to take a while longer for us to get fully up to speed with all the comings and goings so we just have to find a way to win this. Go 4-2-3-1 to match them up and back our superior quality.

----------------------------------McCarthy---------------------------

----Mads------------Stephens--------------THB---------Manning----

-------------------------Charles-----Jander/Downes----------------------------

---Fellows-----------------------Azaz--------------------Fraser----

---------------------------------Archer-----------------------------

Will about 5 yellows each (Stephens, THB and Downes for us and Swift for them nailed on) so good luck to whoever is refereeing it. Going 1-1 - think they'll be street smart enough sadly to get something from it.

Been mulling over this, and I reckon if players have the quality and the bottle it's not really an issue.

Actually judging which of them meet the above criteria... That's a different matter.

My water meters going to take a hammering especially as Southern Water have increased their prices by 50%.

I’m in the Chapel End for this game- literally a few yards away from the skates. So, going to take a shower before the game and spend twice as long afterwards having a good wash to make sure I haven’t caught anything from those slimey scum bags. I was thinking about a hazmat suit but a covid mask will have to do. 3-0 Saints.

Tom Fellows was certainly up for it (did well vs Wolves in their feisty encounter in the FA Cup live on ITV) so no reason Azaz wouldn’t be (he’s played in Boro v Sunderland) and Casper Jander has probably experienced some German clashes with a bit of edge on them.

Jander played in both of Nuerenberg's derbies v Furth last season. Won both games, 4-0 and 3-0. Got booked and 2 assists in the last one.
