I didn't see the coaches reaction, but I saw a lack of player reaction to it. No one really running over to Leo or fighting his corner

It was a bit naff and summed it all up.

What do you expect with a bench of Ben Reeves (ffs??), Tonda and Ben Garner though.

The ref took his time considering whether it was a red or yellow - pretty sure the lack of any reaction from our bench (or our players, as you say) will have made him think it can’t have been as bad as it looked.

I thought the ref was an absolute mess though, he looked like a rabbit in headlights himself!

I see Tonda told them some home truths after the game. Must have been inspiring, we’ll see a huge turnaround against Sheffield United 👍

The Hull players were in the ref's ear all game. Delaying the game by complaining to him. To be fair to him TBH was giving the 4th official some about the foul. Shame some of that not directed to his spineless team mates

Hate to say it but hope they put Ben Garner in charge now.

That would then complete the total collapse of our club and put us out of our misery.

Then hopefully we can rebuild after everyone at the club realise they are not going to make any money from football because they are completely useless at understanding the game.

Get the clown Garner in now, it’s the only way to destroy what little respect is left.

Then hopefully someone with an ounce of anything in the real world can make us a decent Prem team again.

I don't understand what has changed. Why are we playing so differently from November when we were playing well?

A lot of the better performances under him was decent counter attacking with quick breaks. It seems a combination of teams not letting that happen to them and sussing that out and now we are doing the total opposite and it’s back to the slow passing around he backline. I’m not sure tonda really has much of a plan at all though tbh even when we where looking good a lot of it was more inspired by scienza being in killer form

Fuck him off and bring back Ralph.

Always remember within a couple of months of SR in charge, Ralph said he would stay a maximum of two more years. He saw SR for what they were straightaway.

Since then they've hired yes men who are married to statistics rather than managers who can read the game. Tonda E is no different. I said at the time it was odd he was made manager before the Brum game but can understand how the Board folded to Spor's pressure to give him the job. With hindsight, he is far too inexperienced.

Oh, for fucks sake... that means there is a Temu Tonda out there 😟

Yep, the Temu Spors, appointed by the Temu Wankersen will find him.

Does that mean the team bus will have a big fuck off air horn, flat tyres and the doors will fall off with an explosion and puff of black smoke?

Didn't you have to sign a non-disclosure, before being given the secrets of SR's recruitment strategy?

Absolute fucking bollocks that.

He’s used that phrase before.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be going to Fratton Park next Sunday with Garner as interim head coach. Let that sink in.

Assume you mean Eckert. If so I'm not convinced he survives if it goes pear shaped on Wednesday which is highly likely. He needs a big performance from the players and a decent victory or he could be toast. The fans won't want him anywhere near the team being prepared for the trip to Fratton Park.

Why will they overlook Lallana again ?

Well clearly he was considered behind Eckert. Garner is Eckert's assistant hence he gets the gig as interim head coach next.

What they gonna do stick Benny Boy in charge? I can’t see them admitting to yet another mistake so soon. They’ll hide away for a bit and hope we get a few results to quieten the fans down again.

On that basis, Trollope would have been elevated to interim when Still got the push. Which is what I was expecting (but as an interim only).

Let's be honest none of us can confidently predict what SR will do next. The one thing we can predict is that whatever they do it will lead to further disasters.

Clown, relies on stats instead of eyes

Do you really need 3 centre half’s against 1 forward every week. This is a joke.

Every game is there not to loose rather than win.

Agree, difficult to follow their logic, but intrigued as to why Nivea was overlooked after there had been obvious effort to bring him in.

Unlikely, SR love a knee jerk reaction to criticism after being passive for ages and a heavy Fratton defeat is ideal for that. It’ll be Garner, more defeats and then Pearson or someone similar to perform a last day 2008 style escape final days.

They’ll appoint some other fuckwit.

Probably the assistant coach they appointed two weeks ago.

They’ll never learn.

Maybe Lallana was interviewed, didn't like what he heard and turned it down so they moved him to the U21s. Unlikely because I can't imagine he'd have put up with that 🙂

All those fans signing his name after a few games don’t you feel like idiots now.

Whilst our home support is crap, some of the early football under him was the best we’ve seen for ages so I’m loathe to be too judgemental or retrospective.

Unfortunately the longer contract I suspect came with corporate strictures around formations, which players he could pick, and they’ve left him without experienced coaching at this level around him. Ben Garner….Right to Wet Dream Academy…do me a favour.

He’s Rasmus and Spors flunky and has zero respect with the fans and players pretty clearly, but as with all of the managers under SR, he’s had a hospital pass of an environment to work in.

But we still manage to find a way to lose anyway. It's the Southampton way.

I can’t see him being dictated to as Tonda clearly has been.

Logic to having him and/or Romeu take the next two games, those two have played in El Classico, Liv-Man U and Merseyside Derby. They can cope with a few toothless island inbreds shouting abuse on the touchline and in the build up.

Actually would be very cruel to expose Tonda to that pressure cooker.

Why would someone who praised a manager when he was doing really well feel like an idiot when said manager subsequently starts doing really badly?

The only way they would feel like an idiot is if they knew at the time that the manager was going to go from 'great' to 'crap' overnight but still decided to praise him, which obviously isn't possible....

He just looks so uninspiring stood on that touch line. Much like Will Still. No personality, no instruction, no passion and no idea.

Perhaps that's because he's being told what to do, and it's bollocks he doesn't believe in.

Or, what you said.

Done a lot wrong but he’s lamb to the slaughter though isn’t he. Thrown into the job when he was clearly far from ready for it, no leadership above him, useless owners, club in huge downward curve which seems like it hasn’t bottomed out yet, a poor back room team on the coaching side and a bunch of underperforming dickheads to manage most of which don’t seem to want to be here. Talk about set up to fail.
