That was very much a benchmark day for us as a club as this is when the era of the match day experience really started to kick off. An era defining moment which i cant believe i missed to be honest. I think there was also a firework display before kick off which paved the way for the awesome light shows we now enjoy. We always have been very much leaders in the match day experience tables. IIRC the singer of CKTC had a Chelsea shirt on underneath his top and pulled his jumper up to show it towards the Milton end as they left the pitch. 1
ant Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I'm late 30s. And whilst we really ought to have added to our major trophies during my lifetime, reading this thread makes me realise I've done alright out of big memories. For me, it'll take some doing to beat the Coventry match that secured promotion under Adkins. The thumping result itself, in such a crucial match; The feeling of being BACK, after nearly ceasing to exist; The celebrations at the final whistle, and long into the night; Being there with my uncle, who's the reason I support Saints in the first place - he used to cart me around to home & away games as a kid.

Great day. I think you're right his name was Ben, he was on First Dates recently. He never mentioned waving his Chelsea shirt in the direction of the DEF when he spoke to his date, which surprised me Edited 8 hours ago by Turkish 2
sambosa75 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Jim Branning immediately comes to mind. Wasn’t even a Saints fan was he?
PaulSaint Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Some great moments, many I was there for. Just two that I need to add: Mane getting the quickest hatrick. Long getting the fastest opening goal.

Noodles34 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I was there for Ali Dia, still recall being quite impressed for the first few minutes or so Neil Ruddock running the entire length of the pitch to headbutt a Notts County player Matt's penalty miss (well, keeper saved it) at the Archers Road end

That has reminded me - what about the bruise brother (Neil and Shearer) coming on as subs to turn round the Swindon cup tie, from 0-2 to 4-2 in the Nichol era.
