JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Really hope the players are up for this and they dont play like they did against WBA. Need to get fitness and conditioning spot on to get through the last few games. And have the right attitude (as per the Fulham and Coventry).

You see it so often, the team going first socks up, the team playing after fails to take advantage due to that little bit of respite given. 1

LiberalCommunist Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Win this, and its ramps up the pressure on Hull and Wrexham. But its going to be a tough game. Hope we are on it tonight.
Toadhall Saint Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Win tonight and we go 6th. 3 points behind Hull and 5 behind Millwall both of which have a worse goal difference than us. 2

Maybe they're discussing their next move with the "changing the formation won't have any effect" brigade...? 🙂 Edited 4 hours ago by trousers 2

We'd still be 8 points behind Millwall but anyway getting a bit ahead of ourselves even mentioning them. 2

People are saying it wouldn't surprise them if Norwich make the play-offs... The points difference between Norwich and the play-offs is 9 points. If we win tonight, the points difference between ourselves and Middlesbrough in 2nd place will be 10 points... ergo automatic promotion is still on...! Beat that for getting ahead of ourselves... 😂 2 5

Maggie May Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I really hope they’re up for this one. I’m sure they will be knowing they’re three points away from the playoffs. It’ll be a major psychological boost. That said 3-1 Norwich.
Mattio Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I've not driven to a midweek game for a while, does the new park and ride run for the game and if you're coming in from that direction is it worth getting or better to just park in town? Don't worry just seen on the OS it's weekends only... Edited 4 hours ago by Mattio

Football Special Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) The sun is shining bright here this morning in Southamptonshire, spring is in the air , the birds are singing and the mighty Saints are at home, must be God's way of telling me to go out early for a few pre match beverages in the sun , surely a home win to put us into a play off place* *reality it will be another WBA style game, 1-1 draw Edited 4 hours ago by Football Special 1
hypochondriac Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Norwich will be bang up for this and know that they must win if they want to make the playoffs. This could potentially be our hardest game left (although maybe not with Ipswich and Wrexham still to come). Win this and it will be a major test passed. I reckon it will be a draw though which isn't a disaster given that Wrexham just lost. Fingers crossed I'm wrong though! 2
macca155 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Watford winning takes the pressure off a bit. Whilst we want a win, even a draw moves us closer. The play offs are a party we are definitely not invited to, we're currently sitting on the wall outside with a bottle of white lightening. Someone is going to drop their guard soon and we are in, ready to cause havoc 😀

It's the more defensive...sorry...low block...teams that are a pain to break down. A win for us. 1

Both teams upturn in form coincided with a change of manager, it’s the same players plus new signings the club would have made anyway so can’t give the manager any credit for that its also coincidence that those who said it’s nothing to do with manager have gone quite as this time of year is notorious for surprise birthday parties, weddings and peak work times 1
Jack Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago After a spare in the Northam for tonight if anyone has a ticket but can’t make it and want to sell it on? It’s sold out now. Usually the midweek games have loads of gaps so thought it’d be worth asking. Failing that someone might have an answer to this - can you just walk into the Northam from the Kingsland corner or are the stewards on top of it there?

You can’t from the Kingsland but you can from the Itchen North. It leaves the corner open on the concourse for access to the fanzone. 1

There's still plenty of seats on sale in Northam blocks 47/48 👍 2
Saint NL Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This is one of those weird games that comes under the Saturday 3pm blackout, so anyone trying to watch on TV will find it harder than usual.

I am pleased we've finally got a manager who has the team performing in line with my expectations of the squad quality. Possibly even slightly above them
SaintsRoyalty Posted 5 minutes ago Posted 5 minutes ago Nearly getting back to a fully fit squad. Who drops out of the Coventry matchday squad for Scienza, Stewart, Wellington? I draw the line at Jay Robinson getting back in but what if he’s considered? Of course you would hope that useless oath Archer would drop out but can’t see it unfortunately.
