The biggest issue with Chelsea v Leeds being on the Sunday is they will want a large Police presence.

The London Marathon is Sunday 26th April.......

Might be a bit of extra overtime for other Plods being drafted in. Don’t they often bring in from other surrounding forces if need be ?

How many plod does it take to police the London marathon anyway. Unless there’s a few instances of misgendering a couple of runners in the birds race, there’s  not going to be many arrests. I doubt if there will be anything kicking off.,

You’d like to think not, and in ‘normal times’ it might be considered low risk. But there was a bombing at the Boston Marathon a few years ago, so as a high profile event I’d imagine it will be closely watched.

Hoping that they’ll announce a date sooner than later, and if they need a larger police presence on a Sunday for the marathon then surely it’s best we play on the Sunday too?

Leeds v Chelsea will be more feisty. May as well kee that for the Saturday?

I doubt they will though.

When do they publish whether we're playing on Saturday or Sunday.  Surely Saturday seeing as we're got games on the Tuesday before and after.

Changing the subject, I really didn't expect my Saints special yellow shirt from DHgate to have more than 2 outings.  5 outings and counting.  I may have to wash it which means it will fall apart.

I reckon the hold up could be us sorting out the rearranged fixture with Ipswich to be moved to a Wednesday and they are not happy.

They have a midday game on the Saturday.

Couldn't find any recent figures, but there's this from c.10 years ago...

Last 2 years the dates weren't announced until the following Friday.  I'd expect the same this year

Are you a member of Northern Saints? Drop them a message, might be able to help you out

I actually think tickets won't be too hard to get anyway

I would have thought it will be difficult to get tickets, i know that we are playing City and so that will put some off, but if the play off final is anything to go by tickets could well be in high demand

Plenty of tickets spare for this one.

No way even the loyal fans will want to do two or even three potential Wembley trips.

With fuel going crazy on top of that.

Amazing, we are sounding like entitled Arsenal fans ......2 maybe 3 trips!!!! I would suggest you/they assume only 1 trip as it is not a nailed on that we will get to either final. In my nearly 60 years of a Saints fan, only a few times have i had the pleasure of visiting Wembley as a Saints fan

Beat me to it, just worry about the next match. We’re only nailed on for one Wembley trip, even if we make the playoffs it will be tough with the heavy match schedule we’ve got coming up, if we did most would still want to be there.

I had let my S/t lapse and the prblem I had getting tickets for the play off final was immense. I was fortunate that Farmer Saint (after Hypo let him know) saw my plight and got me one, something I will always be grateful for. Anyone who went to the play off final and the other night Im sure will be gagging to get tickets

36,000 tickets or so so will be fine down to members and then a bit of a scramble for general sale at the end.

There were loads spare in 2018. I know the club made it awkward for people to get tickets to stop Chelsea fans getting them in our end but I don't reckon we had anymore than 25000 there that day.

Yes, different days and as you say the club really made it hard to obtain tickets. It really suppressed the day, although that team was nt worth supporting lol

I think this was a key factor in the turnout, a general sense of us being crap and no great belief or enthusiasm.

Yeah 2018 is very different to now.

Anyone who wants one will get one but we'll sell out no problem.

In 2018 we had a very easy run to the semi - beating League 1 Wigan in the quarters. Anyone else would've beaten us.

I think this time there is a genuine possibility we can make it to the final, now we've beaten the best team in the country

If given the go-ahead we'll be wearing the exact same kit as 1976, a team from Manchester will be confidently heading to Wembley as odds on favourites with nobody giving little Southampton a chance but a battle cry of 'Yellows, Yellows, Yellows' will thunder from the stands to spur us on to an unexpected victory. Tis written in the stars!

I can't think of a single good reason why the FA would decide to be twats about that, but this is the FA we're talking about so nothing would surprise me.

I really hope we do get to wear the yellow, because I think this season's home kit is fucking awful.
