On the other hand if you are naughtily trying to get a rumour in circulation I'm sure others here will help you.;-)

Wonder how JWP feels about this, hopefully loving the karma. Without Nuno he’s probably a starter at WHU and doesn’t come home. I’m glad Nuno cast him aside and he’s our player.

West Ham are not running away with the league 😂 Has nobody watched them recently? Clubs a mess both off the pitch and on it. They aren’t suddenly turning into a winning machine whatever money they make and PR they get.

That’s a far cry from walking the league. I’m happy to revisit this but they scream meltdown potential to me. Ownership is a mess with some serious allegations going on. Fans will be keen to jump on anyone’s back they can. Coach always give the vibe he’s doing everyone a favour despite bang average results. And they even have an ex player with friends in the media who will be waiting in the wings to jump in at the first sign of a bad result or two.

Big reputation, big media focus, big money to be splashed but until they’ve proven they can actually handle that hype and spend money wisely I’m quite happy to oppose them.

I’m not sure they have sorted their ownership and not convinced their squad is that good, aside from an obvious couple of stand outs.

But my point is the idea they just turn everything around into a winning team and ‘walk it’ seems a long way away to me. Maybe they will, but not many do straight away after relegation do they? Recently anyway. Not without exceptional managers who go on to some of the biggest jobs in the world and Nuno isn’t that. They haven’t spent that money yet either. And yes, if they win games everything will be rosey but if they don’t then I think it turns quickly. We’ll see I guess.

Textbook.

Very good manager for the championship and has that all important quality of knowing the club having played for them 18 years ago which means they will probably never lose again

Jesus, don’t think the WHU board are reading the room if they think Scott Parker’s football will appease the locals. I’m sure results would improve but do they want 1-0 and 0-0 score lines for the rest of the season?

Can I be first to start a "Tonda to West Ham" rumour...? ;)

Fortunately, JWP insisted on a "No Nuno" clause in his Saints contract, to stop him being dumped by Nuno for a third time.

Parker a good Championship manager, but suspect he won't impress the mega entitled West Ham fanbase due to his not so great top flight record. So needs to hit the ground running otherwise can see it getting a lot more toxic there which would be a shame.

Interesting appointment with respect to how that will turn out. The locals won't be happy with his football.

Could have an interesting impact on Middlesbrough - he'll have the international break and then a run of games culminating in boro at home - works out as about 7 matches. I wonder what state they'll be in then - Boro will struggle vs teams that can defend well and are dangerous on the attack.

Not the nicest run of games for Boro when they get back from the international break either:

Bristol City won't even play football with Boro, they'll just sit there and go long, by pass the midfield, and get at their defence (which is very porous). Long away day as well.

Then a run of 4 games that includes Swansea (who they should beat lets be honest), then us, then the west ham game. If they drop points there and we close the gap, will their fanbase and dressing room feel the heat from last season's bottling?

Which are few and far between in this league.

Bar a long term injury to Lankshear, Boro are going to finish in the top 2 this season. There’s no question about that.
