Another April Days 6-0 score line on the cards but I don't think we'll be celebrating this time

I expect Ladbrokes would give shorter odds on Elvis doing a Live Concert on The Moon wearing a I'm A Vegan T shirt than a repeat of our 6-0 win :smt048.

Now lets see .:smt115... I'm off work that week .... should I fly back to Uk and go to the game, or stay here and go down the pub and watch it

Thanks Sky for ruining my Easter.

So now we know the date our relegation to League 1 is confirmed then....

I would not be surprised if this turned out to be true. If things stay as they are and we could be confirmed down by the end of march, start of april. Because we play Watford and Charlton in the few days before this game i can see that being the reason for showing it.

It's not something you can work out yet as we are five points from safety with 42 points to play for.

So, Saturday evening then ;). Surely, in theory, if we lose every game from now on (unlikely, I know, but humour me) and all the other results go against us in the worst possible way there will be a date on which we can all relax and accept the inevitable?

6 points from safety mate, our amazing goal difference has us 12 goals behind Watford's. The harsh thing is if we lose on saturday and Charlton win we will be bottom.

Still very difficult to predict as I'm sure a lot of teams around us have to play each other and I don't fancy trawling around sites working out combinations. My reckoning is if we, in theory, lost every game up to the Palace game (Easter Monday) then that will be the point we will be mathematically relegated.

Entering the 'worst case scenario' scores into this BBC predictor should do the trick....race you to it.....Go....

Ta for that. Easter Monday would suit me, I'll be cruising around the Canaries then. It means I'm wasting my season tickets but I've been doing that all season and I can't bear to watch a loved one fade away.

21st March is a possibility.

Coventry p 39 gd -3 pts 50

Sheff Wed 40 -12 48

Charlton 39 -18 39

Saints 39 -28 28

Is that from the BBC predictor? I looked at the possibility of the Blackpool game (21st March) but as I said I didn't know who had to play who around us. I will do the predictor tomorrow.

Hmm....21st March, eh.....? An interesting calendarial juxtaposition with the recent Charles Sale column.....

Lowe point for Southampton

Southampton's beleaguered chairman Rupert Lowe, who regained a club left in financial meltdown by the chronic mismanagement of the regime that forced him out of office, will have to make a major decision by the third week of March.

That is whether to put the club into administration and take the Football League’s 10-point penalty this season.

Southampton, whose bank Barclays are threatening to reduce their overdraft facility considerably, have to find extra monies by the end of next month to keep afloat.

Yes, I have been toying with various results and I've tweaked it a bit further. Above 4th from bottom it's pretty tight so I think we're 'safe' until then. It looks like the away game with Blackpool is crucial, then. Win that and we should be safe for another week. :)

Derby 38 -2 53

Notts For 40 -6 53

Crystal Pal 38 7 52

Coventry 39 -2 52

Plymouth 40 -8 52

Swansea 40 6 51

Norwich 40 -3 51

Watford 39 -4 51

Barnsley 38 -7 51

Blackpool 40 -10 51

Sheff Wed 40 -12 48

Charlton 39 -18 39

Saints 39 -28 28

So 'Beware the Ides of March' (15th, to save us looking it up again). That is going to be a difficult decision then since we won't be definitely down at that time. (sarcastic smiley thing)

Did the predictor and was as honest as i could be. Had us win 3, draw 4 and lose 7. Total of 13 points from the 14 games. Which is actually higher points per game then we currently have.

Sadly that won't be enough to save us, nowhere near it

My table looks like this

18 - Doncaster 53 pts

19 - Norwich 52 pts

20 - Derby 51 pts

21 - Forest 50 pts

------------------

22 - Plymouth 46 pts

23 - Charlton 43 pts

24 - Southampton 41 pts

Which means we could be confirmed down by Fri 10th April (Wolves) or Mon 13th April (Palace).

Of course that means we have to actually win pretty much 25% of our remaining games, seeing as we have won once in our last 15 games think that could be a problem....

That's how I see it. The Easter programme has traditionally been a time when relegation and promotion issues are decided.

Good point and well presented :D

I remember now that as I was flying from Dubai to Geneva that day and KLM completely screwed us up and we did't get to our hotel in Val Thorens till midnight. Spent all day skiing the next day, so it wasn't until about 6 o clock on Sunday night that I had a chance to check the score on the Internet in a pub and when I saw the headline something along the lines of Wolves hit for 6 on the OS I just presumed it was an April Fools Day wind up :smt048 :smt082

I wonder what this years April Fools Day headline will be ... Saints win at home, Rupert resigns .... no it would have to be something a bit more beleivable than that

Discussing Wolves so I thought i'd drop this in.

I wonder if Jones is making a veiled reference to some of the obsessive numpties that post on here when he mentions this ;-)

I wonder if he had anybody in particular in mind?

“The criticism only comes from a minority of people but sadly they seem to make the most noise.

“The idiots on the message boards seem to rule the roost as I well know from my past history – ask any manager and they will tell you they are the bain of our lives these days.

“They don’t have a clue what’s going on inside the club, what happens day in, day out, but they are all sat up there in their mum and dad’s attic, still at home, 40 years old, and telling you what you should be doing"

I think he's referring to Torbay Saint's mate there.

And at least he's having a pop at 40 year olds rather than 16 year olds.
