Saint_clark Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Stupid mug. Had potential but he will now spend his entire career being hounded from League 1 club to League 1 club by the fans. All IMO, and assuming he is guilty of course.

JonnyLove Posted 6 March, 2009 Author Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Interesting that the Sun believe they were both arrested yesterday. they might well have been arrested yesturday as before hand the Police were building a case. They only arrest people once they have reason to. before hand they may well not have had.
Victor Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Interesting that the Sun believe they were both arrested yesterday. OK, I don't believe anything that's in the Sun either, but since you seem to know, when was it - they certainly claim it WAS yesterday? And where does that leave DMcG? I'm far more interested in him - time to forget about BWP.

It does state the altercation took place on the night of the watford game that was called off but they were arrested yesturday on affray charges. Quite simple really. DMG has also been arrested but he is not IW's son so probably won't get much publicity

trousers Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Club statement: Saints boss Mark Wotte has issued the following statement in response to recent stories in press regarding Bradley Wright-Phillips and David McGoldrick. Wotte said: "I am aware of the allegations that have been made against my players. I have spoken to them both at length where they have explained to me what happened that night and I will support them 100%. "We are unable to comment any further at this time as the matter is under police investigation, however, I can assure our fans that everyone at the Club remains focused on the remainder of the season." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11461

saintjay77 Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Interesting that the Sun believe they were both arrested yesterday. I dont get that either. it seems like its talking about the night as if it was yesterday. going on about the night the incedent supposedly took pace and the pair were held till 3am. police are going through cctv and that the pair voluntarily went into the station. better report is needed but then do we expect better from The Sun? I simply meant that it is interesting that the Sun is under the impression that they were arrested yesterday and that neither the Echo nor the OS picked up on it and ran before hand. I see that the SO now have, so we cna assume this is correct. Just as things were starting to pick up to.
SaintDonkey Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 BWP is no great loss but it's bad news regarding DMcG. Just when he seems to have found his place in the side and atarted to win the fans over this happens. Would you play him after this - assuming he's available? If he can't play who should step in for him tomorrow?
a1ex2001 Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 The sooner BWP's contract runs out the better he is clearly a bad influence, oh and he's totally useless.

Fate could be dealing us an opportunistic hand here....or not as the case may be...

If he can't play who should step in for him tomorrow? It depends if his mind is on the game. it obviously has been since the incodent so this shouldnt change much. im sure he has been advised on what is likly to happen so it should be no grrat shakes. If it was me I would be a mess as the thought of having to shell out money I havnt got would be a nightmare. I could do comunity service but no money means no money so i would be stuffed. What kind of comunity service do professional football players get? do the fines effect there day to day lives? only a prison sentance would really effect him and at a guess that would be a long way down the order of punishments he is likly to get should he be found guilty. So I very much doubt it will change much in the plans for the game tomorrow. If he was going to be included he probably still will be. If he is not he probably wasnt going to be anyway. um pahars Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 So is BWP for what it's worth. Football arrests are getting frequent nowadays, AFC Parkhurst will soon be in the Champions League. I played against Jamie Lawrence when he was doing time at Camp Hill. Cowes Sports would kick off with ten men as he was only released at 3:00. Against us he got changed in the car from Newport, got on the pitch at 3:10, scored 5 and the subbed and back in nick for 5:00!!!!!!!!!! We lost 6-1. offix Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 How stupid these boys are! BWP seems to have a bad behaviour problem, and keeps dragging others with him. This being a second time for BWP he may be in real trouble now, and for the moment I think both should be left out the squad.
offix Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Our local sports radio station has a section entitled "The Athletes Arrest Of The Day". Maybe that would be fun in the UK too? L1Minus10 Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Club should tear up BWP's contract if he gets found guilty again. He's been earning money under the false pretence of being a footballer for years now...
LostBoys Posted 7 March, 2009 Share Posted 7 March, 2009 They may not be guilty and may have been defending themselves but if found guilty by the CCTV they will have to go if the fan was SFC. I think Bradley will be released anyway as he has failed to deliver apart from the odd game like Reading away.
