Win 12-0 and we go second. COYR

Agree with all of this. Beautiful day in Sheffield, good stadium, good away performance. Boufal is on the bus and will be a huge asset, Adams ran all the right lines and will score soon, and Moussa's got a bit of the X-factor which will produce some great moments this season. And we've still got Redders on the bench (and Danny) (and O'bamefi) (and Shane). Also agree that Rom and PEH were superb, Oriel especially. But unlike the forwards above, I'm a bit worried about what happens if/when either or both are out. With Lemina and Reed both out on loan I think we look pretty thin at centre mid. Good to see Yoshi on the pitch - he calmed things down and played it simple. Roll on Bournemouth.

I agree about the first league one summer when it felt like nothing would even be any good again. But i'd forgotten how big and how successful the Poch-Koeman transition was. Based on what they contributed over the next couple of seasons (not what had gone before when Rickie was obviously a God).... Pelle better than Lambert Mane better than Lallana Bertrand better than Shaw Toby better than Lovren Tadic better than Corky Long better than Guly Forster bigger than Barnard (although he was short AND f*cking 'ard Which just leaves Callum Chambers and the less said the better.

Cheers Whelk. I did every away game last season which is a much bigger financial commitment than a season ticket so I must be a much better fan blah blah blah fight fight fight
-
Maybe not, I was away! But most of them do bar Bournemouth, and I've got a shed that's bigger than that.

I ws travelling when the tickets went on sale to members and forgot to buy one. If anyone has one to sell please DM me. Thanks

25,000 Cim Bom fans turned up at Istanbul airport to welcome Falcao. Not sure how many Mario got! Still, swapping the Woolston Ferry for the Bosphorus...

Artur Boruc having a party at Ibrox last night, in the crowd with the Legia Warsaw fans, leading the anti-Rangers chanting with a megaphone. Eddie Howe not happy. #legend

First half was very ordinary but the away end were in good voice. Bloody hot though. Second half we could and should have had four but didn’t really give them a sniff so one was enough. Ings missed a couple and Oriel missed unmarked from about six yards out in the middle of the box - after having about five seconds to think about where to hit it he blasted it straight at the keeper. Incredible miss. Moussa was lively, Danso took no prisoners and fair play to Hoj for putting in a full shift at left back. I love Craven Cottage but boy their fans were quiet. Two wins. Two clean sheets. On to the next round. Another away fixture in London please.

5 Rivers on Bevois Valley Rd. Best kebabs in Soton, decent beer, full of Saints fans, lots of screens, 10 mins walk to the ground. Job done.

Only one game... Positives: Survived monsoon rain in the centre of Burnley an hour before kick off Personally was really pleased to see Boufal back in a Saints shirt Valery already looks stronger than last season Negatives: We got dicked - out fought and out thought in the second half. Yeah I know it was windy but it was for them too. No obvious response on the pitch to conceding apart from to concede again Best midfielder on display was a bloke we sold about six years ago because at that time we had better I’m putting 20 quid on us beating Liverpool.

I’m your private Danso A Danso for money Do what you... Actually no, scratch that.
-
I did exactly the same and I agree.
-
Either the bloke who runs Saints social media on twitter etc has a man crush on Boufal or they’re trying to hint that he’s staying. Hopefully the latter.
-
Chances of him scoring on the opening day? Pretty high.

Some great trips down memory lane in your top 10. Thanks for 10 years of laughs and tears, and keep it going!

Winning something. 1976 is embedded in my brain. When is the next year that will happen? (JPT doesn't count.)
-
That’s true up to a point, but if you’re a fan who’s spent hundreds of quid traveling around the country to away games all season then I think you have a right to expect a bit more. Last away game of the season is supposed to be a party not a damp squib. West Ham were actually there for the taking, but our players couldn’t summon the desire or the energy to put in a performance. Pointing that out isn’t a meltdown.

Three goals conceded, again. It was cold. The atmosphere was meh. Shane not even getting a shot away was appalling. Mo was Mo. And please don’t sell Gunn or McCarthy.
-
Yes please. You can contact me at chrismorrisoxford@outlook.com Thanks very much!
-
Never good enough for us though was he? How much did we sell him for again? Hope he wins the Champions League final with a 25 yard screamer against Barcelona.

Decent game, proper ground. Boys ran their socks off - just need a bit more composure in both boxes. Would have taken a point beforehand but we should have had three wrapped up long before they scored. One of the best away atmosphere’s this season. Scoring after six seconds certainly helps! COYR

I have a spare ticket for the game at face value - can meet at the ground.
-
I also have one Watford ticket available at face value. Meet at ground. And I still need a West Ham ticket if anyone has a spare!
