Away? Yellow with blue sash please, together with a bright orange keeper’s kit 😎
-
Hopefully now they've done the Dippers they'll be fully focussed on the FA Cup and the Champions League. 2-0 Saints (Long, Adams).
-
Top ten should be the aim. Absolutely everything would have to go right, including other results, for us to get to 8th. 10th would be a great end to the season given where we were in October/November.
-
Great to hear. What more can you tell us about him?
-
All of those - and I'd love to see the 79 League Cup quarter and semi finals against Man City and Leeds. Vivid memories of The Dell being absolutely rammed for both of those.
-
Yeah fair point about Papa - but, as i said, it was League One. And they were great day. It did end up 4-1 as I predicted. Marcus taking pictures at the end with his little camera still brings a lump to the throat. You'll never win that, you'll never win tha-at... Johnstone's Paint Trophy - you'll never win that!
-
Just watching it live on the official site. Three-nil at the moment. Carlisle might have a goal in them, but I reckon it'll end 4-1. Lambert, Lallana, Antonio and Papa Waigo was an insane front four for League One!

I think there will be very little transfer activity across the board this summer. Sadly, anyone who thinks next season won't be as affected - and probably more affected - by coronavirus than this season is dreaming, I'm afraid.

Saints v Spurs (FA Cup) Match & Reactions Thread
LaptopSaint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Which is what half this forum has said at some stage in the last 12 months about Jack Stephens. And Cedric. And Redmond. And JWP. And Shane. He's young, inexperienced, faced with Son, and playing out of position. Jog on. -
You couldn't. Can he get 20 in all competitions this season? Possible if he stays fit. Would he be the first since Sir Rickie?
-
And while we're about it - a message to whoever it is who edits the 'lengthy highlights' package on the official site. When Boufal murders the fullback with a sublime drag-back, and then comes back and megs him before laying the ball off down the wing, so much so that the fullback then gets substituted shortly after.... put it in the highlights! That's what gets bums off seats (although I was already standing anyway) and I was looking forward to watching it up close on video. He did it again shortly before or after - two or three dragbacks in a row. No not MLT, but delightful to watch,
-
Yeah absolutely. People with football nouse like Gareth Southgate, who has him on the fringes of the England squad. Carry on.

Totally agree. The atmosphere was embarrassing. It’s why I go to more away games than home games at the moment. Hopefully this win will change that. Doesn’t mean it was a good performance. It wasn’t - first half was worse than Leicester. But if you’re gonna be the bloke next to me in the Northam - shouting ‘you’re all s***’ every fifteen seconds for about 75 minutes - then why bother coming? Just IMHO of course.
-
I just want Ralph to commit to playing Bouf and Djenepo out wide for the next three games. Ten days to practice it, nothing to lose really away at Arsenal (who have a crap defence), and then Watford and Norwich at home. We'd better not play three at the back at home for those two...
-
From about 6-0 onwards the banter and singing in the Northam was top notch. Not supporting the players, or the manager or the owner. But our club. There was one bloke who lost it and started ranting about tearing his season ticket up until he remembered it was a plastic card.
-
LOL Having said that... I’m a big fan, but this one is on the manager. Feel sorry for Danso - bought as a centre back and hasn’t played there yet. Shambles in the first half apart from Romeu. Second half all over them - Boufal scaring them sh1tless. Inevitable that we were gonna lose when we had the chance to go third for 24 hours. We’ve got mid-table written all over us. Better beat the skates. No excuses there.
-
Bosses on our own park so far. Can only get better!
-
I’ll try to get there too. Thanks for posting that.

Win 12-0 and we go second. COYR

Agree with all of this. Beautiful day in Sheffield, good stadium, good away performance. Boufal is on the bus and will be a huge asset, Adams ran all the right lines and will score soon, and Moussa's got a bit of the X-factor which will produce some great moments this season. And we've still got Redders on the bench (and Danny) (and O'bamefi) (and Shane). Also agree that Rom and PEH were superb, Oriel especially. But unlike the forwards above, I'm a bit worried about what happens if/when either or both are out. With Lemina and Reed both out on loan I think we look pretty thin at centre mid. Good to see Yoshi on the pitch - he calmed things down and played it simple. Roll on Bournemouth.
-
I agree about the first league one summer when it felt like nothing would even be any good again. But i'd forgotten how big and how successful the Poch-Koeman transition was. Based on what they contributed over the next couple of seasons (not what had gone before when Rickie was obviously a God).... Pelle better than Lambert Mane better than Lallana Bertrand better than Shaw Toby better than Lovren Tadic better than Corky Long better than Guly Forster bigger than Barnard (although he was short AND f*cking 'ard Which just leaves Callum Chambers and the less said the better.
-
Cheers Whelk. I did every away game last season which is a much bigger financial commitment than a season ticket so I must be a much better fan blah blah blah fight fight fight
-
Maybe not, I was away! But most of them do bar Bournemouth, and I've got a shed that's bigger than that.
-
I ws travelling when the tickets went on sale to members and forgot to buy one. If anyone has one to sell please DM me. Thanks

25,000 Cim Bom fans turned up at Istanbul airport to welcome Falcao. Not sure how many Mario got! Still, swapping the Woolston Ferry for the Bosphorus...
