  1. At least we played better than we did at Anfield. Although that’s not saying much. A quick thanks to British Rail (or whatever they’re called these days) for canceling the only sensible train back to SOTON. Stay classy lads.
  2. Get him on the bus.
  3. Yup. Class from Claudio. Our game rescheduled to November 27th.
  4. Anyone who went to Pride Park in pre-season knew that already. But seriously - last season, when we were proper sh1t, we came within 20 seconds of getting a point at Man City. I’m going up expecting a draw, he lied.
  5. I've already done that at Wolves.
  6. Just back. Lemina was good, Hoedt was good (yes, that’s the second week in a row that i’ve typed that), but chances created and general self-belief? Meh.
  7. I’ve taken the plunge - £50+ is taking the p1ss though
  8. Belated thanks to LadySaint for the ticket. It was sunny and we got a point. Haven't seen a goal away from home since Palace though...
  9. What does neutral area mean anyway? Will it be full of Man Utd fans who've never been to Manchester?
  10. Pretty fair summary. Armstrong should have scored near the end, and Gabbi nearly did. Won’t be popular with everyone but I thought Wes Hoedt played well. Got to top up the suntan, but it would be nice to see another league goal soon though...

  12. Please do. How do I get in touch?
  13. They're really not, but don't let that bother you. In the five games I've seen so far, Nathan's probably been our best player this season. HTH
  14. He's our Cedric... !
  15. Great Western was excellent. Friendly locals, good banter, great beer. Trick was to buy more than one beer each when you got to the front of the queue!
  16. Only good news was that the sun was shining. Wolves were there for the taking, but we were just insipid. Armstrong had a game to forget, didn’t he?
  17. Got my tickets for Liverpool and Wolves, but Bournemouth has sold out before I got the chance to buy. Anyone who has one, but finds they can't make it... please do get in touch. Cheers...
  18. Three winnable home games. Two points. Sigh.
  19. Leicester every time. Could die happy.
  20. So the other 19 clubs agreed at the start of the season that they’d let Leicester win? And they persuaded all 25 players in every squad to play along? And all the refs? And all the linesmen? Riiiiiight... #xfiles
  21. Is this a Saints forum or a manic depressives forum? Get a grip.
  22. V early days but it wouldn’t surprise me if the current bottom 6 are the final bottom six. So it was important to get the Palace win after dropping points at home to Burnley. Can’t see us finishing below any of West Ham, Cardiff, Hudders, Barcodes, Burnley and Palace.
  23. Great atmosphere. Proper celebration when PEH slid in the second. Hoedt better than the boo boys give him credit for. Benteke may not be able to hit a barn door, but he’s a handful in the air. Midfield starting to look really good. Love the way Ings chases everything down. Love the ‘Austin runs like he’s carrying a piano’ line COYR
  24. Agree with all of this. Enough of the wrist-slitting. From where we were it looked like an early entry for miss of the season from Ings in the first half, but just seen it on the telly and fair play a brilliant save from Pickford. Mason gave us eff all though. Not even a corner right at the end and nothing when Pickford took Danny’s shirt off.
  25. New guys all looked good. Firegaard and Ings in particular. And I think Mo Ely is going to get better and better. The amount of space we gave them to begin with was laughable though. I don’t think Burnley could quite believe their luck... has to be 442 at home. Ended well, but ran out of time. Penalty at the end for Ings? I thought so. But then i’m massively biased...
