I had a long chat with my brother in law, who is a Forest fan, and he says he had a decent goals to game ratio for them in league one, but was hampered by lots of injuries. Not amazing in the air for his height. Good touch and still frighteningly quick, that's why Davies plays him wide so as to scare any right or left back. Wouldn't be able to play upfront on his own, would need another. The potential signings of whittingham and Simpson means he would struggle to make the Forest first 11 this season hence the possible move.

What do you mean exactly by half arsed? Pardew's job and reputation in on the line. He will be doing everything possible to get the best squad assembled. Are you suggesting those above him aren't supporting him?

On the other hand he might look at DJ Cambell and think, he's no better than me. I could still play in the top flight. As I recall he was all about pace. Without it he offers little. Has he still got that extra yard of pace?

They have Lee Camp so are certainly not looking for a No 1 keeper. If they are looking at anyone it would be Lambert.

the lack of pre season games means when he is `fit' its going to be another 4 or 5 games before he is match sharp. Such is life. Maybe he would fail a medical should someone come in for him at last minute.

I'm not sure I said they rate him. They played him a lot, but maybe they didn't have anyone better there last season. They are trying to sign Wittingham. If they get him then Tyson won't be required to play left midfield. I'm not sure Davis especially wants him to leave but if he wants to go they would probably want there money back.

Nigel Doughty is worth around £140m. I'm not sure how they could be in financial trouble. Unless they sign Wittingham Tyson won't be allowed to leave. They had six strikers last year and Billy Davis wanted them all. They won't allow players to leave unless the squad is topped up. He cost them about £700,000 I think, and they will probably want their money back. Is i8t a buyers market, I'm not sure.

League 1 is a bloody long way from the Premiership. I'd of thought he would score a few at this level. He got 15 in the Premiership in his second season at the skates.
