  1. looks like he has been reading my posts...
  2. utter ********. He gave his all. It was a lack of quality that let him down.
  3. he was 36 in April. I ahev been sayign it for a long time now that his lack of height and pace cause us problems. His positonal play and comittment is first class but you can see by he number of desperate stretches he makes how his sharpness has gone. I just wonder how he will fare in League 1 - hopefully he will shine.
  4. he certainly did and didn't look a bad player. The whole Charlton side looked good IMO and if they keep their players they would be my favourites to win that league.
  5. Strange that Mills was our best player on Saturday (when moved to left back) and the first signing is a leftback. What next a new keeper? Mind you if every position is going to be strengthened then there won't be complaints from me. I'd like us to add further height at right back especially if Perry is going to play a lot of games.
  6. John won't get a deal while Rasiak and Saga are still here will he?
  7. was a decent prospect at Brighton, but having made his move to Leeds he was a failure there and they shipped him out. He moved to Ipswich and he didn't fair much better and was loaned out a few tiems before being reelased. I don't remember him in the games against us but his record over the last few years is patchy at best. I'm glad we have signed a 6 footer though and hopefully League 1 is his level (surprised Southend did not try to sign him when he was released by Ipswich) but a little unsure. Obviously what has gone before doesn't matter and its all about what he can offer us. Hopefully he will prove to be a solid defender offering the height we need.
  8. happily take Paul Heart off the skates hands should things go pear shaped down there.

    Rasiak

simply because they would have to match his wages, which are astronomical for the CCC never mind League 1.

    Leroy Lita

bloody hell. Every player I fancy for us Pearson signs.
  11. no the Daily Star did. Mind you Euell had the choice or League 1 or CCC football so maybe we wanted him but he chose to move.
  12. they know we have money and want a taste of it. I'd hope that Pardew knows who he wants already and goes to them not the other way round.
  13. Euell could never be described as lazy.

  15. Let me save him some work. We need a ball winning centre back. JPS mould. We need a box to box central midfielder. We need both left and right wide men. Pace and dribbling skills preferable, decent engines and bottle essential. Up front we need some pace. Add to this I'd like to see someone with some set piece ability coming in.

    Rasiak

I thought he looked decent on Saturday. He held the ball up well, one stuff in the air and lea the line pretty well on his own.
  17. Simon King - Gillingham Neal Eardley - Oldham Chris Taylor - Oldham Steven Dawson - Bury Danny Livesey - Carlise Chris Shuker - Tranmere Tommy Docherty - Wycombe
  18. having played for promotion chasing Wolves adn Brum in loans spells last season and I can assure you that he won't be droping down two divisions.

    Rasiak

Always liked Rasiak, especially his ability to get away with a little push in the defenders back to win back post headers. I never could understand why we signed Stern John when we had almost the exact same player already here at the club. He looked good on Saturday IMO and certainly made the effort. Needs some pace around him.
  20. not worried about his fitness. I'm sure Pardew will have them doing a bleep test this week so we'll know where we stand, but I'm more concerned about the lack of height in the side. A back four of Mills, Murty, Thomas and Perry is going to be a liability on set peices especialyl when they have Lallana, Gillett, James, Thomson and Saga to help them out.
  21. I'm told by a Bournemouth ST holder that he did **** all when he was there. Young but should be in the youth team not the first team.
  22. When I went to change seats (to sit near mates) I was told by the ticket office that the whole ground was sold out apart from the Northam. Strange as block 5 in itchen was half empty.
  23. I get the feeling he saw what I saw today. A few decent players, a few not up to the task and a side that still looks a little shell shocked from last season. He's got a fair bit of work today to create a side capable if winning a lot if games. He made me feel confident that we'll address some of these problems rather than bull**** and hope for the best. The money is clearly there for him to spend
  24. what the game showed me is that we desperately need a left and right midfielder, a box to box cental midfielder and some pace up front. I also worry about the size of the side, a team full of midgets. I suspect we need a centre back to win some headers but obviously Ajax didn't play the ball anywhere but on the deck. Davis - prevented a hammering Murty - short and slow. Comitted. Not impressive by any means. Thomas - steady half. Perry - quite a lot if desperate streches Molyneux - did OK until Rommadahl came on then quickly taken off. Wotton - far too deep and usual poor passing except for our goal which was a peach of a pass. Gillett - actually played as the attacking midfielder of the three. Totally ineffective in that position. James - some poor passing and never in the game. When moved to right back he had a mare, but with little protection in front to be fair to him. Mills - never really in the game at left midfield. Did well at left back though. Lallana - totally ineffective in the wide right role. Why on earth we plat Gillett in the hole when that role is perfect for Lallana I will never know. Patterson - why play him wide right.Madness. Did nothing but wrong position totally. Rasiak - did OK and looked up for it. Needed more support. McNish - lookeed lightweight but only got a minute or two. Saga - totally isolated. Why on earth we played him on his own is beyond me. Thomson - poor and I wonder if he is good enogh for league 1. Lightweight.
  25. if you are happy for the item to go at any price start it on 99p with no reserve. The more people you can get interested in the product the better. You will find that some buyers get hooked and will bid more than they ever thought they would just to get the item. If you start the item on a high price then you will put off those that initially thought they were looking for a bargain. The photos of the itme need to be top class, epecially if the item is a high price item. No one wil bid on something they can nto see clearly. Even if the item is a low price make sure the photos are good. Give as much detail as possible. If there is anything wrong with the item say it. The last thing you want if a unhappy buyer that ****s up your rating. Honesty is the best policy and will actully give potential buyers more confidence in you. Answer all questions. If a seller has something to hide they won't respond to questions. Buyers are not stupid. Finally make sure you are around when the auction is completed. Buyers want to get an email from you saying thanks for buyer and I'll get this in the post tomorrow. Best of luck.
