agreed. We wanted £500,000 and they failed to match that figure. Now they have come back with an offer of just £200,000 and we are considering it.

good for you. Enjoy it.

I'm amazed we have not sold this game out. I know its been a long terrible season but the combined fact that its the last game of the season, a must win and we need every penny to save the club means surely any supporter that can afford it will attend. Very dissapointing.

they are all available.

This is the most interesting thing. Looking at who wee have right now I wonder who would be the most effective in this division. As you have already stated we need to be dominatinggames and creating chances for Saga to be effective - are we going to do that next season? I just wonder if the pace BWP has might be the most effective weapon. With that extra time perhaps he might score as few more than he does in the CCC. Being out of contract means he will be off though I suspect. I think McGoldrck will improve, but he lacks pace and effort and that is not going to change. We can't play him at the front of a diamond if we want to succeed. Gillett worked wonders but Wotton... For me Patterson might hold the key. He's good in the air, strong, quick enough and as he showed at Ipswich he has the composure as well. I still think if Patterson/BWP had played all season we would have scored enough goals to keep us up.

Did Heskey get shot down by Liverpool fans when he donated £100,000+ to Leicester?

debatable IMO and see how long before Rudi is begging someone to come and save him from tier 3 football. IMO the club made a major **** up signing Molyneux when we had Mills already at the club. If we had given Mills as much rope as we gave James then we'd have a fine youg left back on our hands right now instead of a overhyped diving waver and a Everton youth reject.

I've seen the vast majority of his games and I have backed him the entire season but even I have to admit that he is lazy at times. He certainly does more in mdifield but when he played up front you would never ever see him bust a gut to get in the box - and that is why he hardly ever scored. I want the lad to succeed but IMO he got far too many tips from Stern John who quite clearly told him to waltz around the pitch as the game will come to you (or suchlike).
-
neither are great are they. Saga's all round game is terrible and McGoldrick is lazy.
-
but we don't create chances when Saga plays because he has no pace to get behind them, is crap in the air and doesn't hold the ball up well enough for us to ever get on top of teams. For a **** side like us he almost becomes a luxury player.
-
fair point but there's me thinking we would be in the third tier next season.
-
I'd be surprised if Sheff United made any offer for him. He hardly got a game for them and did nothing.

hoof ball Boothroyd is not welcome. Ince is a winner.

I simply don't see how anything can be done in such a short time frame. Fans and people in the city simply are NOT going to give £100,000-£500,000 simply to pay the wages of the footballers at the club. As much as I love the club I just can't bring myself to hand over my hard earned cash to pay Rudi ****ing lazy Skacel and his like. The players have earned thouands (millions in some cases). I don't care how big their mortgages might be they CAN afford to go without and that is my only solution to this problem. Either they all take a wage holiday or the club closes and then they don't get paid until another club picks them up anyway.

sounds great in principle but how long would it take to organise and would we have to have Chorley as club president?
-
I'm saying that perhaps Crouch is a creditor (perhaps because he or his firn lent the club money) therefore is kept in the loop by the administrator as to the real financial problems and the likelyhood of any of the offers/enquiries turning out to be worth the paper they are written on. He therefore might be in a position to convey the information to third parties including said Richard Chorley. Somewhat off topic now but whatever. The fact remains, do we need to find x amount by this time next week or what?
-
who says they are getting a full settlement?
-
I presume all creditors are kept up to date and perhaps Crouch is a creditor.

I've had skates saying the same thing to me all day. Its all just interweb ********. They say the same thin every year. Just thank them for their £24 quid and tell them that their money may mean the difference between us suriving and not. One day when the football cycle turns full tilt and we are thrashing them 1-4 at not arf crap to send them down we can look back and say it was the skates coming to see us get relegated that actually saved us and made this possible. Cheers.

Reading then in form Charlton
-
who the hell is going to underwrite anything connected to a company in administration?
-
would they not have been better getting MLT to say we have one week to live rather than Richard Chorley?
-
why move the game to the 17th May if the money is needed right now. Who gives a **** about the condition of the pitch? There appears to be mix messages coming out of the club.
-
Chorley also stated that there was some sort of major meeting involving all the main supporters groups, MPs etc. taking place tomorrow. Is this also correct? Quite surprised it has not been advertised previously. Actually why does Richard not post here?
-
Chorley said that Crouch called him and told him the `real situation'. He suggested that Fry wasn't revealing the full extent of the financial problem because he didn't want it to effect the Leagues decision about docking 10 points. I couldn't see the connection myself but there you go.
