  1. This. Every day I think "please don't reassure us Les, please don't". No interest in statements apart from a) smiley picture with big watch on, signing new contract or b) transfer window shuts and he's still here. Everything else is worthless.
  2. Hang on, I'm taking the michael out of you whinging about "the mods" need to "do something" about "this sort of thing". I've never reported anything to the moderators and never ever will. You seem to be making a habit of getting upset when someone else does something that you have just done yourself. My tip would be to try and remember what you have just typed.
  3. I think we might end up with a nice surprise CB signing this window, for the reasons you say - not convinced Gardos is ever going to make it and poor old Yoshi needs to be relegated to League Cup bit-partness. Toby was a bit of a rabbit out of the hat two years ago so maybe we might have another one to go with our mystery attacker.
  4. Awfully sorry if I've upset you but I do get slightly wound up when people start demanding "evidence" for predictions, especially for very easy prediction of something that will obviously happen. But your over the top reaction that something so obvious requires blind faith to believe will happen probably does need addressing by the moderators of this forum.
  5. Let's just remember this started with you saying people who think we might just sign one fu cking player before 1st September of having "blind faith". We will sign a fu cking player before the end of the window. Get used to it. You can say it's because I said so if you like. I do say so. We will sign a player before September 1st is out. You get to accuse people of having blind faith, I get to type that. It's a forum, that's how it works.
  6. Is Clasie going to be the first player to go from bargain-basement-cheapo-crappy-replacement to I-can't-believe-we've-flogged-off-another--key-player without actually being any cop in between?
  7. It's obvious because it is obvious. Why don't you take your evidence hunting sword of truth to the people saying we aren't going to sign anyone? Off you go.
  8. Why would I have evidence? Nutcase.
  9. Because we're a Premier League club competing in Europa and we need at least one more player. And we will sign at least that one player, just like we signed players in summer 2015. And summer 2014. And summer 2013. 2012. 2011. 2010. Obviously we will. Effing obviously.
  10. You do realise you started the blind faith thing, right? You're allowed to accuse other people of having it but start blubbering when it's the other way round? Odd. Obviously we will sign someone. Not blind faith.
  11. What words have I put in your mouth? Obviously, we'll sign someone.
  12. I think you have blind faith that our club is being run by idiots who don't know what they are doing. We will obviously be signing at least one more this window, and likely this will be our biggest signing.
  13. Do you really think there's a system where every single player ever bought will be a success? Gaston clearly could have and probably looked very good on paper/screen.
  14. So what was the point of mentioning Man City's supporters again? You seemed to drawing some comparison which I still don't quite get, but something about how they must have all moaned a lot about how terrible their club was on message boards and that they weren't happy and then that ultimately caused them to win the Premier League. Chelsea fans too, all their fans moaned and then bingo, win the league. It might be just me but it feels like total guff to me but you believe it if you like. Being that you've already said you don't expect us to win the league, and the higher you finish in the league the likelier you are to win a cup, and the more cups you qualify for, I really really have no idea what you actually want the club to achieve. What do you want the club to actually achieve? Achieve. Not bol locks about spending money. Actually achieve in competition. To help you out, this is what I want: solid in the league, 10th or better, and then try and win every single cup we enter with real focus on the league cup if we're not in Europe. Try and be in Europa three seasons out of five and try and get into the post-Christmas end of that tournament every time we're in it. I'd take 10th and a cup over sixth and no cup all day long. Sometimes we will have a stinker of a season so expect we will fall short from time to time. That's what I want. What on earth do you want?
  15. Okay, let's imagine that every single contributor on this forum all agree that they aren't brainwashed and finishing sixth is actually not a good thing, we all are not relaxed about it and we all withdraw our undying love. Just remind me what then happens after that? How does this turn us into Manchester City?
  16. Man City fans did show plenty of undying love when they were in League 1 so I really don't understand what point you are making, yet again. You're suggesting we should protest or march through the streets because we only finished sixth?
  17. You're right. Well never achieve the searing ambition, level of investment and all round drive and determination that Wigan Athletic showed when they delivered their dream season of winning a cup. That was our dream. That was your dream. And horrible old Les Reed is absolutely determined to stop that happening. Why can't we be like Wigan oh why can't we be like Wigan. Thanks for admitting I haven't been twisting words, too. Means a lot.
  18. And people who think finishing sixth is good have been brainwashed:
  19. Good. As a further apology, there's more than one example of you saying that fans have been "brainwashed" by the club. Which obviously is nothing like PR and Spin. Terribly sorry for twisting your words.
  20. I'm pretty sure no thread on any forum will make a blind bit of difference.
  21. Has anyone got a list of who we've let go recently?
  22. I can remember several world cups/Euros where the general consensus of the ex pro punditerati was that England should play the diamond, with the protection of the back four and the attacker at the tip of the diamond playing between the lines, being talked about as the great tactical cure-all and why oh why oh why don't we do it. I'm not enough of a geek to remember but there are some big name European managers that have used it. Someone will know.
  23. What's that got to do with "buy British"?
  24. "Buy British" what an effing joke. Sweet that some people actually believe this is how it will play out, especially once we're in hoc to the likes of the USA who will take us to the effing cleaners as part of our rebound trade "deal". But, hey, sovereignty.
  25. This thread: So you said PR and Hype that "these people dream up" not spin. Awfully sorry for twisting your words because hype and spin are so very, very different.
