  1. Nice one. Will listen back on my Monday drive to work. Great omen for the weekend - Nothing can go wrong now.
  2. We've had a good run of someone saying that every week. We're due a week where no one says it.
  3. This. Already it feels like in order for Liverpool to get top four, they need to overtake us. Anything that builds the gap between us and them is just dandy. Chelsea can run away with the title for all I care.
  4. I am sure they are not intensively scouring Cornwall, but they can cover it through the Bath centre (we still have this I think). We'll cover plenty of the country and it seems to be working well. We can leave most of London to the London clubs.
  5. You're underplaying how important "being slicker PR-wise" is and would have been over the last four years. David Milliband was already a global statesman, chummying up to Hillary Clinton and just carrying himself like a leader, someone electable. Even if all other things were equal, the fact that David Milliband looks like he could actually be Prime Minister would be worth a decent few points in the polls. Beyond the PR stuff I think he would have been better at the actual "doing" anyway, and at least bring some genuine opposition to Cameron. Ed is just a bumbling gimp with no human touch and a dismal profile and can't see him laying a glove on Cameron next year, in what could have been a winnable election for Labour.
  6. I had completely forgotten about that. That's beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Let's hope it still is come May.
  7. I'm starting to think he isn't really a professor.
  8. So you say you think we are good enough to to be top four and keep putting these little digs in at other posters for "not believing". Except it's you that keeps typing out huge rambles about our desperate need to buy expensive, experienced quality to stay top 4. So as far as I can see the person who "doesn't believe" Ronald Koeman's SFC is good enough for top 4 is, well, you. Anyway. We're not going to spend £30m on individual players. It's not going to happen, so you can stop directing your little sneers and digs at forum contributors. There's a brass plaque on a pavilion in Staplewood that tells you all you need to know. Read thise words. And then belt up about it.
  9. I've seen the new official club boots and they are incredibly detailed.
  10. That pretty much makes no sense. Hague got in as a new young hope for the Tories (and he wasn't a wet lefty etc like Ken Clarke). He bombed, but that wasn't a masterplan to avoid power, especially as he was replaced by that well known election winning big hitter Iain Duncan Smith. The Milliband leadership came from a similar kind of place: party reverting to type, eschewing popularity for core vales or something. Basically you end up with an unelectable twonk.
  11. It's "pendantic", Bear.
  12. Anytime. Basically no one's been negative, have they?
  13. Was nice to hear Ralph read out the manifesto yesterday. I think I missed the bit where he said "We are the Saints. And by jiggerdy we will be spaffing thirty million on one player in January and no mistake."
  14. Would be fascinated to see who "all those fans who can find negatives in today's videos" are exactly, and what they've said. Do you think you could point me in the direction of maybe just one of "all those fans", so I could get as upset as you are?
  15. Quote me where I have said anything remotely approaching that.
  16. Except, of course, it isn't your opinion at all. But it is hilariously funny every time you post it up, so please keep doing it. Oh my aching sides.
  17. Why would I (and I think I can speak for Hypo here too) disagree with what you say here? I think you completely misunderstood the point made. I agree with you, ML is/was the best owner of any club full stop. And his daughter has taken it on. Just watched the Kat/Ralph video. Brilliant. You can see Ralph cutting a more confident pose these days.
  18. I have no doubt all that happened, as it no doubt happened at the many other clubs in similar situations which also didn't go out of business forever. We would not have ceased to exist without Markus, we were in administration for a handful of weeks whereby we were then bought by a bloody billionaire, one with no link or affinity to the club prior to purchase. Hardly an unsavable basket case of liquidation, now was it? But ridiculous to bicker about that on this thread, so I will stop now.
  19. Hypo is correct, there is absolutely no way we would have gone out if existence, just a myth. However I am happy saying Markus saved us. He did save us. Saving something or someone does not always mean "from death". Markus saved us from despair, from misery, from Mark Wotte and Lee Molyneux. He saved us all right.
  20. So the letters W/L/D against a list of games on a prediction thread was not a prediction? Okay then.
  21. It's a list of games on a prediction thread with W/L/D next to each game. The "quoted out of context" defence not really going to stand up. And you are right - that is not the level required for 5th/6th. It's more like a collapse, or to use NickG's own terms "fading away".
  22. You don't go in for predictions? I've got confused? And it isn't true? Okay then. Have a look on the November/December predictions thread. "This is the level of results needed for 5th/6th" no it isn't, it's relegation form and we'd be down to about eighth on that run. And you forecast us losing all of our games against the big boys. Yeah. Look at me all wrong and missing the target. (For some reason on Tapatalk every time I quote your Nov/Dec prediction list it dumps it back on the original thread, so apologies for duplicate post. But at least it bumps the other thread so you can read those predictions you "didn't make" in situ) You're welcome.

  24. Presumably he wanted to retire at Liverpool in 18 months time. Now looking like he might not get the chance. I can see him on loan somewhere but not to us: he's gone home so would think he'd stay North-West so Wigan, Bolton or Blackburn, something like that. Or maybe Stoke, if the opportunity came up.
