Agree -Harding was brilliant at Wembley and the cheating Carlisle left winger never got a look in so threw himself on the ground at every opportunity trying to con the ref. And though a natural left footeer, Harding made some good upfield passes with his right.
Proper defender - unlike some of the rubbish centre halfs we have had in recent seasons - and he never let us down. But with Jaidi, Fonte, Seabourne and Martin there is no room or need for Perry or Lancashire. I wish Chris well.
On the OS Pardew's explanation makes a lot of sense. He is looking to next season and needed to look at some options. Connolly & Barnard playing together in case Ricky is injured / suspended; some fringe players were disappointing; Martin was our best player.
Makes a lot of sense to me.
Season over - it was better than we thought it would be and did not end as well as we hoped. Thanks Marcus, AP and team. Onward and upward next season.
Though not a big name player he was a key part of the Keegan, Ball, Channon team and always looked their equal. Brilliant player and scored some cracking goals for Saints.
