  1. Good to see him back. He was having a good run of games when he got injured so it gives us another option.
  2. This is a strange one. CHELSEA have appealed against Harry Maguire's sending off........apparently they want him to play against them next week 🤣🤣🤣
  3. Probably not suitable as a "football song" but as we're talking about songs for and about England, I think this takes some beating. Ralph McTell's "England". Just a beautiful song. Hope you enjoy it.
  4. Some of you may already have read this, but I thought I'd stick the link here anyway. I thought it was an interesting read. I foresee mayhem looming for "The Toon's". Kind of makes you think it's a good thing that our owner leaves footballing matters to those that know something, well....... about football. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59225679

    Che Adams

Absolutely agree.....I was saying it would be hilarious if they offered that......I'm not saying we would accept......nor should we. Thanks, but no thanks!

    Che Adams

I get what you're saying, but I reckon you could add Palace and Leeds in there. And actually, I wouldn't rule West Ham out, who only really have Antonio as an out and out striker and and as they progress through Europe they may well need more cover. Moyes likes hard workers! Haha....and of course, if Danny Ings doesn't work out at Villa maybe they would want a "swap" deal for Che (only joking before you all jump down my throat!) Danny + ££££ for Che would be hilarious.

    Che Adams

Che is fast becoming a Scotland legend. I know there are people on here who think at best he is Championship level and only ever "scuffs" his goals, but for every goal he scores whether it be for us or Scotland, his value rises and that can only be good news for us. And he has the knack of hitting "Worldies" as well. Congrats Che!
  8. "Don't tell him Pike!"
  9. Right......it's risky I know, but I'm going to put my head on the line and say that Eddie Howe won't be our manager by the end of October. Based on two things really. 1) It's now 8th November and 2) He's now gone to Newcastle. 🤣
  10. No, I totally agree. I did say if the money is right. I have no evidence, but I wouldn't mind betting Gao will have "higher forces" above him, who will remind him of his duties as a respected Chinese businessman and in no way must he lose face. (Oh I do like a good conspiracy theory)😀
  11. It would be nice to have some decent investment, but Chinese selling to Japanese? I guess the right money would make it happen, but generally they're not the best of mates are they?
  12. Yeh.....and I think I heard one of the marching band hit a bum note in the "Oh When The Saints" bit. Disgusting. Get rid of.
  13. After tonight, the ones I really feel sorry for are the "Ralph Bashers". Compounded by the fact that they haven't been able to blame Jack Stephens for anything for a number of weeks, they now can't have a go at Alex for keeping another clean sheet, they can't blame Redmond for anything because he's got Covid and didn't play, and Adam Armstrong's goal proves he is obviously only Championship level. I mean, how on earth are these people going to occupy their minds over the weekend and into the International break?
  14. That's good news. Being an expert in these things, I can tell from the photo that both calf's (or is that calves?), and the hamstrings look fine. The Achilles look ready to play, so my medical report concludes that he looks alright to me .......apart from that dodgy index finger though. 😀
  15. I wonder where Big Sam is on their list. 🤣
  16. Strangely, based on me having nothing better to think about, I was wondering this afternoon if Ralph might be somewhere on their list. I suppose the questions would be, if they offered a decent enough deal would he go? Would we let him go, and if so, how much would we charge Newcastle for the privilege of having him.......knowing they are "holding the folding"? I guess we could pretty much name our price unless he has stuff written into his contract about leaving if an offer comes in. I'm in the "keep Ralph" brigade but I guess if the compensation was too good to refuse...... All hypothetical of course.
  17. Fish without Chips. Morcambe without Wise. Beatles without Lennon. Villa without Grealish. None of it really works does it.
  18. Referring to the OP on this thread. Just checking as we're now in to November.......... Has Ralph gone yet?
  19. Yeh - I wish we'd had VAR that day. Mind you - had it been Mike Dean on VAR he still wouldn't have seen it or said that "his hand was forming part of his head".
  20. Swings and roundabouts. Yes, we know Newcastle are "minted" so we could hold out for £50m. But then, when we try to buy someone with the proceeds of that sale, teams will know we're "holding the folding" and will automatically put their prices up once they know we're interested. And if we're still sitting around 17th (not saying we will be by then, but.....) decent players will be reluctant to come. Stick with JWP at least until next summer I say.
  21. PENALTIES LIVE ON SKY NOW!
  22. Yeah....when I read the negative threads on this site (and I appreciate you're not one of them Sheaf). Here we are holding the league leaders on their manor, a club 20 times richer than us, with five minutes to go and apparently our manager still hasn't got a scooby. Hey Ho.
  23. Blimey......the tide sure comes in a long way down at Plymouth! I expected to see a boat go by at any minute. I'm sure one of those guys tripped......on a submarine.
  24. Great bit of film. Thank you MLG for sharing - What not may be apparent to those who haven't been able to get to a game for a while, is the band are actually all mic'd up as they are marching, which means it plays out over the stadium sound system - and it is bloody loud - and (I think) very impressive. The best "intro" we've had for many a year I reckon. Cheers again.
  25. I really hope Howe goes to Newcastle although I can't see it. Their fans would be up in arms at that one. He's hardly "high profile" enough for a club of that, recently inherited, stature is he. However, here's a thought.....absolutely off the top of my head with absolutely no "source" or basis of truth (sorry MLG). Could it be that Howe's "people" have put this story out there to try to force Saints into making an early move? (based only on the OP of this thread). I know there are people on here who think that Ralph should be gone, but Eddie Howe.......Really? God forbid! It would be like a cocktail of Mark Hughes with essence of Pellegrini thrown in.
