  1. nobody cares. Don't wish the kid any ill, but he's nothing to do with us now.
  2. Wish him a full and speedy recovery. Doing well for the manc**** this season. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  3. Cheer them on with all we have, if we give our best hopefully they will. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  4. That performance has nothing to do with signings, that was due to tactical ineptitude Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  5. That is the root cause of our malaise as I see it, nothing to do with transfer policy or individual performances
  6. and the fact Smalling is starting to look good all of a sudden

  8. I think the root cause of the problem isn't on the pitch and will not be resolved by our transfer window dealings. Slowly, as the Poch-trained players are lost one by one, the tactical nous of our team has also eroded. What made us good was our team game, not our individuals, we showed how football could be played with well coached players who were super-fit. When was the last time a commentator/pundit has been impressed with our high press game plan? Remarked on our intricate passing at speed? It was before December 2014 I suspect. It appears the addition of Koemans tactics on top of "The Southampton Way" gave us something extra at the beginning of last season, made us less defensive, but since December 2014 we have gone way too far in that direction and need to desperately get back to what made Southampton football attractive and effective, extreme fitness and well drilled players with great tactical understanding of the system we play. I don't think anyone is impressed with the "system" on display so far this season. We are Southampton, we play on the ground!
  9. its one thing to watch that performance in sunny southern Mediterranean, but to have to watch it in those conditions you should be given medals. Well done.
  10. Koemans post match interview, I think the stress is affecting his mental faculties.
  11. need to start fining players who play a diagonal floated pass, 100% of their wages. Hoofball crap reminiscent of the Rupert Lowe era.
  12. I'm worried about Bournemouth
  13. sluggish and jaded? should we commission some statues of Slugs, carved from Jade?
  14. Juanmi, finally.....
  15. Ex Saints player, Perry
  16. Marcelo Biesla is looking for work i hear
  17. We may cure Sleep Apnea before we score a goal. Please stop hitting diagonal crosses into Pele! A freakin school team could defend that tactic!!!
  18. Thing that annoys me is our crossing. We have resorted to hitting diagonal crosses into Pelle who has his back to goal. We then require many things to go in our favour to get a shot away. We need to turn the defence, get them facing their own goal and cross from behind the defensive line. If Pelle wins the header, chances are he will work the keeper. 19. We obviously are emulating Barcelona with our high press, high possession, ground passing game. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  20. Not sure if you got the memo, but the academy celebrate the pathway to the big clubs by putting up the pictures of the successful ones. Its the model. It is also key to our business plan that we sell our better players each year. This is described in a little more detail in the Secret Footballers book. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  21. I think more are worried about the trend of the tail end of last season continuing into this. No idea of cause or remedy but tactically we haven't got our act together. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  22. All you need do is watch the Liverpool v Southampton match from the begining of last season and compare it to any match we have played since Feb 2015. We have gone from a tactically astute team that performed better than the team sheet suggests, to a group of individuals who are yet to read the tactics memo. Seriously lost our way. 23. That is not the case. The money raised from outgoing transfers is used for the purchase and salary costs of the incoming transfers. So it must be the TV money getting creamed off [emoji3] Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  24. Romeu and Caulker will improve and it appears Romeu has a few goals in him. Clasie will replace JWP when fit, I think we have enough firepower, we just haven't found the right combination from JRod,Juanmi,Mane,Pelle. If I were to invest, spend big in the Clasie, JWP space. Shaqiri would have been great. Overall optimistic it will come together and we finish 10th. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
