Thanks! Interesting words from Rickie on Sky ... we know he loves the club, as we love him, but very interesting words about the ownership/hierarchy. Obviously the former players have been upset in some way. Onwards and upwards though.

Have never liked them anyway, nor the one with the VERY SHOUTY ADVERTS THAT DO MY HEAD IN.

Weirdo.

Agree, he was never going to be a world beater, that's not his role, but he was a model professional, solid and would have been great to keep in that exact role; Professional leader who could still put a shift in if called upon.
-
Agree - I think he's an okay centre back and certainly much better some others in the league as has already been pointed out. He's MUCH better than Jos, by some considerable distance. Jos is there for an emergency really and probably for his banter on the training pitch? Most defences are going to struggle against Sturridge, Sterling, Countinho - and Lallana when fit. So it'll be no shame if we let in a couple of goals today. We just have to make sure we can put our chances away at the other end, that worries me more than Yoshida playing in defence.

Only if we pay Cortese to get him in an office and fill his head with Champions League nonsense. Oh and if it doesn't work out, don't worry, you'll be able to leave the club next summer ...

I don't understand. The point. You're attempting to make. Here.

To be fair, the Cruyff turn against Arsenal was hilarious - balls for trying it
-
Maybe Boruc and Gaston will come up together after a hot date in the Cotswolds. It's all so pointless and annoying - we'll find out who is in the squad tomorrow FFS!

Phil Neville predicts Saints in Bottom 3 at end of season
Patrick Bateman replied to CalneSaint's topic in The Saints
Couldn't give a flying f**k what these people think - it's all opinions anyway, misguided or whatever. It's fairly obvious that there are 4 or 5 very poor teams in the league and around 8 (including us) that could finish anywhere from 8th to 15th -
12 points from Liverpool and Spurs would be wonderful.
-
I also disagree that Pochettino didn't have a "plan b" all the time. It may not have been obvious to us and sometimes he may honestly have run out of ideas and just said "keep going as you are", but one glaring example of a "plan b" was Fulham away last season. Switch of positions and a sub at half time equalled a storming second half - was very visible to see. (As was an unfit Wanyama puffing away like a smoker after 10 minutes of the first half)

I keep forgetting about Ramirez!! For Liverpool, I'd still go Davis over him or JWP though.

Morgan's head gone- Update: It has been re-attached
Patrick Bateman replied to Chez's topic in The Saints
Agreed. -
He'd be mad
-
I honestly have no idea what formation we're going to see, but I think the starting 11 (against Liverpool) are going to be; Forster Bertrand Fonte Yoshida Clyne Wanyama Morgan Tadic Davis Long Pelle Possibly some variation of 4-3-3?? F**k knows.
-
Not convinced by him, bit of a headless chicken in my opinion. Was terrible last season in his fleeting Liverpool appearances and equally awful in other matches I've seen him.
-
o before a means no f. Isn't that right?
-
I think he actually wanted Cork, but his board were only offering a derisory £3m (reported) which obviously wouldn't be enough and hence, he's with us and looking very happy in training!

Edit >> That looks nothing like a "thumbs up"!?
