Of course not. Not a bad thing if he comes back with someone with even more money, but of course, if he doesn't, then I'd rather be backed by someone who "isn't interested in football but is worth $3bn"? All hypothetical of course. You can well imagine he had in Pochettino's ear to tell him to hang on longer while he gets his sh*t together.

"NC vs Katharina Liebherr for dummies" But it sounds exactly right. I can well believe that he was left to it when we were in the lower leagues, but suddenly with Premiership income potential and players costing a significant amount, there may well have been a sudden burst of interest. Maybe she genuinely didn't have time to pay much attention to Saints, what with all the other companies in her portfolio and having left him to it, finally got round to "that football club" and gained interest. All perfectly feasible. And then gaining the interest would obviously upset someone who really wants to be the number 1 and accountable to himself. I am still sure he'll be back in all honesty - there will probably be a meeting of minds halfway once she realises that it's an enormous overhead and she's more in the public eye (which the Liebherrs don't appear to like) and also once he realises he's come across as a bit of a kid having some of his toy taken anyway, but he enjoys it. Just my opinion of the last couple of days with what I've read.

Jesus Christ. Calm down. If he wants to go, he goes and we get £30m according to the other thread, which according to many people will buy us a lot of talent and a decent replacement. Our fans are hilarious. We still have a club - if one or two players are so easily swayed and want to leave, we'll get [good] money for them to buy players who want to be here.

Who are these utter helmets at the training ground asking Pochettino whether he's still the manager? 1. Yes he is 2. They'll have been told to say nothing 3. They probably know no more than we do in reality 4. FFS

Seems to me like Cortese will walk, Katrina will sell and the new owner would be Cortese + new backer. It all smacks of a game of cat and mouse. As far as I'm aware, Cortese was instructed to find a buyer for the club - obviously he wants to buy the club (with a.n.other backer) but she didn't want to sell to him, probably because it's Cortese and he's trying to buy it "on the cheap" and now it's blown up to such a state that he will have to walk away in order to assist re-buying the club. That would make sense to me.

Ah well, thanks and see ya. Was never going to be top class and took up a valuable squad number ...

Told you to leave your woman at home didn't I? Dinlo.

£30 million for for Luke Shaw should we take it?
Patrick Bateman replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
No. -
14 points I think. Sunderland are now on form just in time for us to play them. Arsenal are simply too good. Hull are a good side at home and we'll struggle against Liverpool I think. So I'll go; Sunderland - L Arsenal - L Fulham - W Stoke - W Hull - D West Ham - D Liverpool - L Palace - W Norwich - W

Wow. I completely agree with you and I really hope he is - nothing against the others, but Lovren wants to lead, you can see that on the pitch, by his tweets, but his conduct.
-
Yeah must have been that one - we stayed up (god knows how) and I hugged the bloke. Odd.

I had a weird "wonder what he did next?" moment about Jermaine Wright. I remember running on the pitch, hugging him (I was f**king smashed) and telling him "you're a f**king legend" ... His reply with a fair element of surprise; "Really??" Had nothing against the guy, but I think it was more of a cult hero kind of thing as he was the scapegoat of the day. Although I never actually thought he was the worst on the pitch. Anyway, that's it.

At what point are the club going to invest in Dyson airblades?
Patrick Bateman replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Urgh, seriously?? I'd rather not wash my hands and/or use my jeans to dry than use those grim towels ... oh, you said paper towels, sorry, I first read that as "towels" thinking you meant the cloth pull towel thing. I've no idea why I'm still typing, but I am going to keep typing and press "post reply" anyway. Go me. -
Puncheon to Palace - Perm Signing (Confirmed)

Sorry fella, but having met Viking Warrior numerous times at the football back in the Dell days, I would go with his judgement more than many others on here. Peace out. -
Poch to leave at end of the season?
Patrick Bateman replied to jasoneuelllfanclub's topic in The Saints
Is he any good anyway?? Has he managed a club long enough to prove himself? Other than having a group of "managers" in Drogba, Terry and Lampard help him win the Champions League!? Am I being too harsh on him? -

Maybe they noticed that Jesus Perez has been doing more of the videos and interviews recently -
Not everything revolves around London

That list is written by someone trying to be different. Portland? I've been there, it's not good and certainly not a patch on Seattle. I hated Marseille and Rotterdam. Liverpool still does absolutely nothing for me either. -
That would explain why he a) has so much time to post bullsh*t all the time and b) is such a bitter, weird, prat.

Out of all of them; Martin is the one player I though would have been able to learn and kick on. We're not exactly blessed with young centre backs, so I was surprised by his "exclusion". The others not so. Although saying that, I just checked and he's the same age as Dejan . . . . . .

I do as well. I've said for years that certain drugs could be properly manufactured, under strictly licensed conditions and then sold officially and taxed (as per alcohol, nicotine, caffeine) - if manufacturing of it was to strict guidelines, there is no reason why you couldn't buy weed or MDMA (maybe even others like coke) officially. I think you'd have to draw the line at really hardcore drugs though?? It'd stop a lot of crime (from importing, to dealing, to stealing to pay for is) - maybe that's my naive view, but I do believe that. It's about time the world got modern though. Weed in this country would be a great starting point. Although not a lover of the stuff myself, I have a couple of friends who smoke shed loads of the stuff, probably in comparable amounts to the amount of alcohol I consume. So what's the difference?

Couldn't agree more mate. I really hope we don't move away from the city centre, the experience would be horrendous on a match day - nothing better than jumping off the train, having a few beers in pubs on the way to the ground then getting to the ground easily and quickly. The whole "away from the town centre" experience is sh*t and I'm thankful we never got the ground at Stoneham for that reason!
-
Shut up, get out of your bedsit and get a life you dull repetitive pr*t.
-
Couldn't agree more. The nutter at the back bossing the defence and the tank in front of them looking after them. Had Wanyama been playing, that third goal wouldn't have been, simple as that. It's not the players fault, not the manager's fault; we are just missing two of our biggest players. I have to add that even Lovren looks worse without Wanyama helping out. (and that's not a dig at Lovren)

Whilst I can agree with the sentiment that "we would never get £8m for a 32 year old so we should bite their arm off", deep down I think it would tear most Saints fans apart to see him scoring for West Ham. It certainly would do me. I actually don't care if he's not quite as mobile. He still has a role to play on and off the pitch and overall he does still add something to the club. I hope that he retires/goes in to coaching with Saints.
