  1. Well. They should have their point taken away, simple as that. Not sure it would be fair to give other teams any points, but just remove their gained point.
  2. Me neither, can't stand them - not for Saints, but what they did to someone I know and another.
  3. I remember that conversation coming up a couple of times, I think the common theme was that "it's too anonymous and the Saintslist is friendly as we use our real names". Yes?
  4. I still can't stand the normal red and white stripes and would prefer the red kit we have now or, the sash kit. If we do go "stripes", this is my favourite option (1976 home) and I think would look cool/different enough against the backdrop of similar stripped teams; http://ssl.saintsfc.co.uk/Images/ProductImages/NEW%20PCS%20SITE/NEW%20SITE%20PICTURES/LEISUREWEAR/Retros/Cup%20Winners%20Retro.jpg
  5. It's alright is you like fruit - weirdly enough I actually hate fruit!! It's just cold and annoying. Yes, I'm odd.
  6. Never mind Mayuka, what the hell has happened to Forte?? He's still at the club isn't he, but what's he doing, does anyone know??
  7. Welcome George! There are quite a few of us old Saintslist members on here, as you'd expect! DC even came and went at one stage too on this version of the forum.
  8. Well, they did let Fulham score against them and we didn't, so you could be right ...
  9. I notice Pepe Mel has changed to having an interpreter now.
  10. I think you're alone in that view! They are a very good side, well organised and tactically they seem to (mostly) get it right every match.
  11. Brilliant and you're right of course
  12. Can we set the boundaries and define what success means to a Saints fan? Apart from the mid to late 90s when we were always seen as relegation fodder, we bumped around in the top flight around mid table, with a couple of really good years thrown in. Before that, we didn't have the 'history' of certain other clubs and slowly made our way up the leagues. Having been nearly wiped out and then promoted twice, surviving last year and (hopefully!) finishing 9th or higher this year; I'd call that a successful few years. Yes, I think most of us would love a Wembley appearance, but generally I think most of us would define success as exactly what we've seen over the last few years. Next season is a different proposition again. What is success in 14/15, for a Saints fan? Cup final appearance and cracking the top 6? As a bunch of fans, I think most of us are fairly patient in all honesty. If we went back to changing managers almost every season like during the Lowe era, we could certainly not expect to finish top half of the prem. In my opinion.
  13. Thanks for the update Artur, keep a clean sheet today and good luck
  14. Agreed. The silver looks much more modern and should definitely be kept for formal literature and branding.
  15. Yeah, Olympiakos, that'd do (and with Puma, I like their stuff again); http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Olympiacos+FC+v+FC+Schalke+04+UEFA+Champions+gm8drs9cn2_l.jpg
  16. No no no. I don't really like stripes and like the current kit, but if we *have* to have stripes, then red shorts would be good. Sunderland have black shorts and it looks a little messy and old fashioned. Stoke have white shorts. Would quite like us to stay more red.
  17. I think she was implying there would be an inevitable persecution and/or cleansing of patriots and various smaller ethnic minorities that remain. Military is out of the question, but sanctions is what she implied?
  18. So, I often read the debates on this forum without really getting involved now and form my own opinion based on the views from all sides - and some of you do like a rant! So a simple question; should Britain "intervene" in the Russia & Crimea situation? The reason for asking is that a good friend of mine who descends from that part of the world feels Britain should "do something", I disagree personally as I honestly don't know enough about it and also, I don't think we're "powerful" enough to do anything.
  19. That looks very good, but read this bit; "speciality shops, offices, leisure venues, apartments and waterside attractions." Erm, isn't that exactly what Ocean Village was???? I remember when it was built and they said the same about the speciality shops, they had the penny arcade, there were offices, bars and restaurants etc etc. Then they bulldozed it.
  20. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/documents/61210-hospo-brochure-new-web148-869934.PDF The box is too expensive - you can have individual seats for £245+VAT (I think), but not sure why you'd do that and share a box rather than do the medium two packages which are half the price!? Also, in my opinion/view, corporate entertaining could possibly generally be on the decline due to a) cost savings within companies and b) people not wanting to fall foul of company bribery rules. I get people wanting to take me to all sorts of events, but my company policy is that I'm simply not allowed to accept any of them. Same at my last company too. Oh and also, there is competition from other places. I.e. you can do a "hospitality package" at South Western House for £50 (nice food and drinks) then sit in a normal seat in the ground for £38!?
  21. I have some great memories of living there when I was younger and then again post-uni (on Archers Road), but I wouldn't move back to any city. I did live in Bournemouth for 6 years though (I know it's a town) and despite some of it being a bit of a dump and a pain to get to, I would consider Bournemouth again - maybe when I'm 70 though.
  22. I could not disagree more with your analysis. “Although there is a solid foundation in place, the Club still has tremendous untapped commercial potential. We will continue to nurture “The Southampton Way” by reaching for consistent growth in all departments to ultimately build a culture that allows Southampton to remain healthy and sustainable in the future.” I read that totally that they want to grow more revenue streams and that by doing so, they need to invest (still) in the club. Once investment is realising benefit, the aim will therefore be that the club will be self-funded and not requiring significant capital investment on an ongoing basis. No?
  23. Get it right St Marys oooooh St Marys oooooh It's not in Italy We f**king hate Pompeyyy CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP
  24. Thanks for typing that up. I kind of agree with not bothering to send players out on loan, but ... it really does require a better U21 league or rather a proper 'B team' league. Attract the punters, get them on some obscure TV channel etc etc., I think that is all that is missing. I think the only doubt in that philosophy is that some of the players just starting in the first team (i.e. Reed) and also players like Isgrove are not making the bench, so would it hurt to send them on loan for the last 3 months to be roughed up a bit and then back for a full pre-season??
  25. Anders Svensson when on form would have been brilliant in our current side!! Michael Svensson alongside Dejan scary.
