That's a good point. I said the other day though that I am okay with giving him time to develop and become that player, BUT, we needed a proven goalscorer at this level and he isn't that. Still time for Armstrong to find his goals again though hopefully.

I have an idea. Why don't they create a league of 24 teams that play each other twice a season to determine who gets promoted? Let's say the top 2 teams get promoted. I think that would work.

Upon reflection in the morning, I think it really is "too early" for him in this league, but, why was he bought?? We needed a proven striker, not a long term project. And you're right, even if not ready - RUN. The jogging was really pissing me off. If he needs time, fine, but a) loan him out and b) buy a proven striker in the first place.

I know, it was a tough call, but nice to have 3 in that position I'd be comfortable choosing.

That was a frightening comment. There were a few that made me cringe ... -
If the question is "should we have kept tall Paul", then just how awful has the player recruitment up front been? Yes, we know ... 🤨

This team should easily be good enough, especially with the money spent, it's criminal how poor they look as a unit now. I'm laying the blame firmly on the management and coaching team. They had a whole summer to prepare and yes there were a load of new players at the end, but before they arrived the team didn't look overly cohesive and like they had a solid plan. I want to see how it goes against Liverpool and 'Boro though before getting my final nail ready. I don't expect a win against Liverpool, but I just want to see more of a plan, damage limitation is fine. But against 'Boro I want to see a dominant home team, looking like they know what the fuck they are doing and winning.

Watching the football league show, some of the League 2 football / goals look better worked out than what we've been served up with.

Yeah I know ... it's nice to be unrealistic after that shower of shite.

Just signed with Brondby, 2 weeks ago. Spunk the cash on Nuno.

Did we win possession wars though? 70%ish, incredible, I'm so delighted.

Yep, definitely seen enough - this manager is another dud, move him on before it's too late. I was hopeful today after a full week of training, but, that is fucking awful.
-
Seen enough, utter dogshit.

It looks like they've taken a load of feeds / scrapes and made some figures up ... here is the SO postcode population (estimates) which more closely match this guff - https://www.plumplot.co.uk/Southampton-population.html We all know the population of the city is around 280k. The internet really is full of misleading shit.

One bright spot, he looked like there was something there

I have never seen so much fake Stone Island in my life, sad.

Crap match, although second half was better, crap atmosphere for a derby, was about as toxic as fresh water from the tap. Annoying. Giving the team the benefit of doubt though, a 2 week break with some missing, loads of new faces, so let's see what the next couple of months bring. If it's still like this in 5 or 6 matches, let's hope Danny Rohl is still available. But hopefully it won't come to that, fingers crossed.
