He is just a kid, bless 'im.

I wondered why I couldn't get back to sleep after my early morning pee today - I normally have no problems - but it must have been the green glow to the West.
-
It must be love to traipse round with you watching footie! Maybe you've just worked out what you can get away with! :-)

It's an awkward balancing act. Firstly the risk of waiting to see Saints in a later round of the competition... (I didn't go to Steaua Bucharest...) I'm semi-retired with a small pension - if I do sod all I can survive without working, if I want to do a few things I have to work. This at least gives me some flexibility, so a low cost flight to some Ryanair airport a few days before a game and a cheap hotel may well end up cheaper than an in-and-out job by charter. Close enough and it's a channel ferry, car and sleeping bag with the additional advantage of some cheap bottles of wine/beer.. Obviously you'll keep us informed on here The9. after you've booked your cheap flight/ferry! In the meantime, to boost my income for such jaunts does anyone need any English as a Foreign Language/Italian teaching or any IT>Eng translation?

Mine's a more modern one; a wine bar in 2007 (I think). Still, opportunity to get a new one this year eh? Just make sure you get to a game before we get knocked out of the Europa.. :-)
-
Maybe they meant this link. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jun/10/premier-league-released-players-lists-abou-diaby-glen-johnson Anybody fancy Glenn Johnson? No, I didn't think so either..
-
Bottocks; much as I'm pleased to see Saints in the Europa it's a right pain for those of us who play on Sunday, even if I am only a bench warmer. A few Monday games would actually be a help.

Was that you commenting? http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/jun/05/portsmouth-fc-supporters-sponsorship-deal-spinnaker-tower

I was just reading the Guardian article: I was pretty certain it would already have been posted here, the convenient repository for every bit of information on the matter a journalist might need!
-
We could charter our own ferry!
-
You can still be witheringly patronising though: "Yes dear, it's a very good attendance for the 4th division, much better than when you were there last time.."
-
Thanks for all the work The9: a disturbingly large number of teams I've never heard of, and I'm not including the Welsh and Irish ones (or Italian ) ones..
-
I would tell you but I'd get grief from Hypochondriac. :-)
-
As I'm pretty well retired it's the expense that worries me! I do a bit of flexible freelance teaching and translation, so I might try and step it up a bit so I've some spare cash. I'll give Khazakstan and the like a miss, but western Western Europe would be nice! My Saints circle seems to consist of quite a few time rich and cash poor, so it might be the hare across Europe in a car job!
-
Not bad at all, but she doesn't want to go with you? ;-)
-
Really? The9 was suggesting that we would and he seems to have done a great deal of useful research. As I said below his comments, I'll just wait for the draw!

You seem to be as big a w____r as Turkish: you two make a great tag team. I make a comment in amused support of Lou when she joked about your appearance immediately after her post, in an appropriate and less than serious way. You immediately coming steaming in and call _me_ obsessed, and start using the same sticks Turkish used to try and beat me. You're not even original! I've never said anything about or to you, so just go and pick on someone else, because I'm really not impressed.
-
And you've no sense of humour, as you've proved before. Maybe you just don't like me and Lou? Chi se ne frega.
-
So Lou, tell me.. is Turkish posting immediately after me just a coincidence?:-)
-
He didn't start out convincing though, and showed the same hesitancy in front of goal that Long does. It would be nice to think that Long could also improve, although suspect at this stage he won't. But even 1 more goal in a critical game would help..
-
There is one more vital match for Saints though, IC... After that there's the Women's World Cup and then my pre-season training. :-(
-
Alpine is better at it...

I see the Cherries have signed another keeper (Federici). Any comment Irene?

Who's digging out their 'Be a Gooner for the day' t-shirt?

Exactly what I was thinking before I saw your post..
