  1. As was quoted earlier the 4-4-2 piece was written before the takeover and pre Pardew, Harding, Murty and Lambert were signed. Pardew stated 2 weeks ago that the season had come 3 weeks to early. Pretty much every other club are more prepared than us. We should be grateful that we have a club and no debt.
  2. Must admit...I miss Cope and the old Radio Hants/The Saint build up and the 'Third Half'. Is there a chance that they'll bring it back (on 'Play' perhaps?).
  3. Yep. Just watching it now!
  4. If we're talking about Cheryl Cole surely we'd be thinking outside and inside the box! Ahem.
  5. Can see us leading up until the 70th-ish minute then they'll score and we'll hit the post a couple of times...1-1. I can feel it in me waters!
  6. To be fair it would have been a different result with Kelvin, Thomas, Gillet, and Rasiak playing. I would have thought it was an opportunity for AP to look at how 'up for it' the more peripheral team players were - and to 'up' Stern's match sharpness.
  7. Wotton (Pen), Patterson, John and Mills (?). Not absolutely sure about Mills though...
  8. We were sat next to Gillet and Thomas who came down to spectate (which I thought was a nice touch). The team started to play once Pardew made his presence known in the Technical area, before then it was a half arsed performance where Salisbury always seemed first to the ball. Most passes went astray and the midfield seemed non existent. The two plus points were that Patterson took his goal well and it was nice to see Stern score again!
  9. I must admit it seemed worse than ever today. We didn't even bother queueing because we knew we'd miss some of the footie.
  10. To be fair I can imagine Crouch paying to watch Saints as he is a true fan. I can't imagine Lowe paying despite claiming to be a fan although this is obviously pure conjecture! I wouldn't have a problem with either coming to SMS as long as they paid.
  11. 1664, San Miguel, Bud would do it for me. Pre poured would be great, plus it's to the clubs' advantage to maximise match day profits. It a relatively simple process to sort out - why don't they? Love the idea of a Wetherspoons in the Concourse. I always drink in the King Alfred before the match but would rather have a pint in the ground, watching the footie on Sky - would be great!
  12. I'll be there if it's not raining. Apparently the away bit is uncovered. By the way I'm a left side fan. Mods, can we have a poll please!!?
  13. Yodel-ay-ee-hooooo!!!!!
  14. Ha ha! Sorry. it's just I was just about to say to my wife the other day that I was going to wait for Master Bates' update before I went to work - but I decided not to 'cause it just sounded weird!!! Plus hopefully the deal will be completed today - so the Echo news will be insignificant from now on...
  15. Hopefully this will be the last time that I'll be living in this bizarre world where I wait for Echo reports from someone named Master Bates!
  16. ...and the FL are happy to watch us go to the ground, despite the fact that if it wasn't for us there would be no Theo or Cranie...short sighted b**tards.
  17. 'Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright) - Rod Stewart. 'Any Dream Will Do' - Andrew Lloyd Webber.
  18. 'The Last To Know' - Del Amitri.
  19. Was at my son's kids tournament in South Newton near Salisbury and I didn't see one Pompey top, but loads of Saints shirts - so it's not all doom and gloom! Plus they got to the final - so a good day out!
  20. I sent an email last night discussing the fact that Malwhinney clearly stated we had a right to appeal, but that right seems to have been rescinded out of fear that we will contest the points reduction and win. I also mentioned the fact that the culprits that put us into admin. didn't get punished and it's the club and supporters that take the hit.
  21. KK vs the FL. That's my take on it! Would the FL have the guts to fight a blatantly unfair decision against a high profile English football legend? To be fair the general public wouldn't give a s**t about Ken Bate's struggle, but KK would have the potential to galvanise the country's football fans and media against a ruling that seems to kick clubs that are struggling? There is a lot of pent up sympathy for Luton, Saints and even Leeds!
  22. Perhaps this is where King Kev is getting involved...ordinarily an ordinary club vs the FL would have just one outcome. But if a football legend were to present a case against the league on behalf of a club...the bad publicity for the FL may just be enough for them to start playing fair? Or is this just an alchohol fuelled daydream?
  23. It's just that they've got ****e taste in lager. If St Mary's sold a decent pint (1664, San Miguel, Peroni) then we'd drink them under the table...possibly!
  24. LOL! Surprised you didn't pick 'Diamond Lights' though! How about 'The Only Way Is Up' Yazz?
  25. Seriously...I've already spent far too much of my life staring at your avatar!!!
