My youngest is 11 and he's seen some of the best years as a Saints supporter. The rise from League 1 and success in the Prem. Two cup finals in Wembley and a Semi Final to come. Plus a couple of celebratory pitch invasions and meeting the players who signed his shirt. NONE of the glory hunting kids in his school have experienced any of that. Yes it's been crap since the Cup Final but that just makes the next revival more enjoyable. Of course you should encourage grand children to be Saints!

I think it was a case of him being a bit embarrassed by all the chanting of his name despite the fact he he missed a sitter - as if he didn't deserve the support. The support was immense, and surprised me a bit in our positivity (laced with a bit of irony). It makes me feel that even if we go down, it won't be the end of the world as it's the supporters that make the club and we've got a great core in the main. Nice to hear the Le Tiss, Lambert, and (my son even thought he heard a) Fabrice Fernades chants! It's good to get out there and away from the negativity of the forum. It's a lot better in the real world!

Probably down to the lack of goals! Before Weds it was 14 - a goal always gets the atmosphere going!

Plus, if you view this year as one of transition - where our best strikers and CB have been out for a large majority of the season - plus we've embedded and given a lot of our youth invaluable Prem experience - look at how Redmond, JWP, Stevens, Sims & McQueen have progressed, then you can't fail but look forward to next season!

I'm in a similar position and my other though was - would I be able to buy a kids seat on their own? They won't let you do it at St Marys.

Knee jerk reaction thread. Before this game we were in a better position than we were last season, despite having played more games with a new managerial team and a stronger league.

We must have one of the best, most settled defences in the league now with VVD, Forster, Bertrand and the two Euro champions!
