  1. Years of crippling sanctions could be classed as provocation to be fair. Lots of countries have lots of missiles pointed at each other, and they have tested their missiles as well.
  2. Fantastic. Ain't Karma a *****!
  3. Does having a poor record of Human rights make a country a terrorist threat then?
  4. Does Kevin Palmer still write for the club?
  5. VVD: "“As a proud professional I am insulted by the suggestion that it was me who refused to train" Just play him, as soon as he is left out his value drops because the buyer knows we are in a sticky position.
  6. Van Dyke has obviously said what he has to try to burn his bridges and weaken our position in negotiating a price - the best thing the club could do is name him in the starting line-up against Swansea. There may be a few boos but it will all blow over. The club just need to make it crystal clear that we don't need to sell, nothing has changed - the **** has to work for his cash.
  7. You're right, he showing the Scouse victim traits already.
  8. The club are in a very difficult position with tosser players like him, whatever Les Reed and the club choose to do has my full backing. Let the **** rot in the reserves, we will still get decent cash for him next summer.
  9. Agree, we always play better with Davis as no 10.
  10. Agree, there is no way that would happen
  11. Sounds like the type of player we need.
  12. I'm pretty sure Koeman's main motivation for leaving was so he could sign players like Rooney and Schneiderlin, not wages. So in that respect the whole article is pointless.
  13. Well if they are struggling to sell now, good luck when we are up to our arse in a relegation scrap. the clubs value will drop like a stone if it looks like we are going down, especially with all these players on nice big 5 year contracts.
  14. To be fair I think we will, only get a good idea of how good he was when we see what this new manager can do with the same players. His style was dull but most outsiders thought we were nuts to sack a manager who got us 8th and to a cup final. The end of season was poor but only Man Utd played more games than us last year, and our team was the second youngest (behind only Spurs) so maybe they just ran out of steam.
  15. I think the team has always functioned better with a Davis as one of the three behind the striker. He's tended to be the one who knits it all together, he's got the work-rate, movement and brain to make it work. Tadic - Boufal - Redmond is never going to work. JWP doesn't really offer anything as one of the three either.
  16. it's on Channel 4
  17. Does anyone have the prices for those? Surely we've received way more than what we paid for that lot.
  18. If we don't invest in the squad I think it's going to be a relegation battle - you just can't stand still in this league yet we've actually made the squad weaker than last year.
  19. We need to invest badly, we haven't even replaced Fonte yet. If we go into the season with the same outfit that couldn't hit a barn door at the end of last season we will be inviting a relegation scrap onto ourselves.
  20. Nonsense, once the transfer window closes he will have no choice but to get on with his job. Exactly like Schneiderlin and Wanyama.
  21. That's nonsense though, didn't we qualify for Europe twice with want-away players (Schneiderlin and Wanyama)?
  22. I'm not celebrating anyone's death, just illustrating how the next generations will obviously become more and more influential and people are generally becoming more liberal in their views. To be honest I think the divide between the older and younger generations will become more and more pronounced. We have youngsters working for us who have good degrees, doing a good job on a half decent salary and whom owning a house is a pipe dream. 5 more years of Conservative austerity, plus the Conservative Brexit - can't see many youngsters turning.
  23. I don't get this urgent need to renovate Fratton Park, it's always been a **** hole. It's been years since I first went there and I remember then having to take a dump in the rain because there was a hole in the corrugated iron roof. To this day it remains the only time in my life I have curled one out whilst being rained on.
  24. To be fair I think the younger generations are way better educated than the old we all know the better educated tend to be left wing. Youngsters also tend to be less racist, sexist, xenophobia or homophobic than your average swivel eyed Tory. Every week the goes by means more dead Tories and more youngsters eligible to vote - tick tick tick tock.
  25. A stark warning from someone who cannot string a coherent sentence together or count. LOL
