The only reason there have not been many more mass murders here in the UK is because of our very good security services - I doubt they come cheap. Plus there is a cost to our society when we have to divert much needed police resources to try and deal with the threat of bearded lunatics.

The one positive about this whole mess is the fact that after the GE this Brexit will be a 100% Tory Brexit. If it goes bad they will get destroyed at the next election.

It's the most pointless, uninteresting election in my life-time. It's just a case of how many of the opposition seats get wiped out. The only interesting thing will be how Scotland reacts to the inevitable Tory landslide - them leaving the UK will probably be inevitable if the whole of England is blue, they are all SNP and being dragged out of Europe.

It is arrogance though, the British people have had concerns over immigration for some time now and as members of a supposedly democratic EU we should have been listened to. Other countries are having the same issues, if the people are just ignored for the sake of some political project there will be more problems ahead (rise of the far right in France for example). For the life of me I don't see why they have to stick dogmatically to the 'free movement' thing, not sure why any other country should have issues with us wanting some control, it's a basic right of any country.

Looks like the more Corbyn campaigns the more unpopular he gets. I actually hope it's a complete landslide now, just to push what's left of Labour intonsorting their **** out.

They obviously can't do a deal but they need to present some sort of detailed, palatable alternative to the Conservatives hard Brexit, some sort of deal that the EU can say might be a goer. The alternative is WTO rules, and after a Tory landslide the division between England and Scotland will be so big the end of the UK will be inevitable.

Too late for any change now, it will just look like a right old mess to the electorate. It's going to be a Tory landslide. At least then something might be done to sort out the Labour Party. To be honest I despise the Tories but a Corbyn, SDP and Lib Dem alliance trying to negotiate a Brexit deal would be a disaster. Brexit is a Tory idea, best let them crack on with it - if it turns out bad they will be finished by the next election. To stand ANY chance whatsoever Labour need to stop banging on about spending more on the NHS etc and concentrate on Brexit - that is what this election will be about. IMO they should have their own talks with the EU come up with a softer alternative to the Tory's hard Brexit - some sort of deal that keeps us in the single market that has some support from Europe - if that is possible.

They can probably foresee what a cluster-**** the Brexit negotiations are going to be and didn't want to face the electorate in 2020.

If Labour had a decent centre-left leader and stood on a remain mandate I actually think they would have a decent chance of winning. With Corbyn in charge they have no chance so I guess there will be some Labour MPs defecting to the Lib Dems. The whole thing is a bit of a mess.

I think we are all in agreement that the vast majority of Muslims are normal, peaceful people. That doesn't change the fact that it appears there is something about the religion that turns some people into suicidal mass murderers.

So you wait and wait for something bad to happen, ignore anything good then then say it takes 'x' amount of months for the impact to take effect.. Weird no one mentioned this 6 month lag time thing last year.

I'm sure the people in charge are not very nice, I've read a few horror stories but it's impossible to now what is propaganda and what is fact. Going to war would be lunacy and I'm not exactly sure what it would achieve - hundreds of thousands dead, and a country without a leader who hates American even more than it does now? I would just leave them alone, they are no threat to us.

Just because the 70s and 80s were violent (thanks to NI and ETA) doesn't mean Islamic Terror is not a problem. According to http://www.thereligionofpeace.com there were 143 Islamic attacks in 22 countries, in which 1064 people were killed and 1214 injured - in the last 30 days. And 99% of all attacks carried out in the name of religion are Islamic. I obviously cannot verify the stats from this site but even if only half are true it paints a very grim picture.

Brexit hasn't happened yet, and as positive predictions don't seem to count it's not surprising there are no known benefits yet.
