Lowe obviously did some good in getting the Stadium built and though we have always brought through good players he has to take credit for the academy. Some of his decisions were crazy. Hiring Steve Wigley as manager of a mid-table Prem club is probably still the most bonkers managerial decision made by anyone at the highest level ever. The Woodward/Clifford farce was without doubt completely barking mad - suicidal experimentation when we had just two seasons of parachutes to try and get back up. Then there was the Dutch disaster. Anyone who knows anything about football knew from day 1 what would happen there.

It does take the p!ss how people are brought in to salvage a debt ridden company then just rip them of for millions. My mate worked at another club during their admin and the ****ers were staying in 5 star hotels, claiming expenses all over the place. They are leaches.

Only a fool would want us to go down but I wouldn't be overly bothered if we did. We've signed the type of player that would probably hang around and do a good job in the Championship, we are financially secure and would bounce back quite easily IMO. Relegation wouldn't be the disaster it was last time.

I think you can read too much into pre-season games. We've had some shockers in the past and still gone on to have a good season.

I can't believe the skate **** is moaning about having to stick to a budget - unbelievable considering the businesses and charities that are still owed millions. Just about sums them up for me, cheating thieving scum.

I think some of you are confusing trying to do things the Barca way with actually trying to be Barcalona. I am concerned with the lack of top quality signings but can see the thinking behind the signings we have made. There is a limit to the type of player we can attract because we are newly promoted and are expected to go straight back down. To get a decent player we really need to pay over the odds and I expect there is a limit to how much Cortese will be willing to waste. If they think the squad has enough about them to stay up then it makes sense to plan long term, get good young players in who will increase in value.
