  1. A token doesn't make it free. Anyway, where is the community spirit or does it only exist in South Cambs?
  2. super model from Brazil: Alessandro ambrosio kelly brook:
  3. I hope not, he cost me £12 at the FF auction, I want to see a return!
  4. and 23 mill has come in. As they dumped one of the two french keepers for what he did at the memorial service for those that died at Hillsborough and the other has only played 7 cup games in 3 seasons, they needed a decent no 2. Agree most are pretty dross, although Roy didn't know new funds were going to be available and got what he could, which was the same as Benetiz did who surprisingly turn his tranfers into profit. H&G bought Liverpool for £175m and got £300m for it, not bad when they didn't use their money!
  5. Well, it looks like Vassell is off to Leicester so we can forget about him.
  6. more about strachan in the guardian if interested. ...and Hoddle was **** poor on man management but has found his niche in coaching youngsters.
  7. That's 19K and 21k respectively, not 40k each (as that would be Nugent and Utaka)!
  8. Not an expert like Clapham, but yes, payments will only start when out of admin. So is Tom Lever still waiting in the wings?
  9. I've been reading that for years, even last season's lost was easier to take after reading the piece Danny put together.
  10. The last day will be today. The board have agreed the sale to NESV by majority vote which has been backed by the High Court. H&G will need to either withdraw their TRO or the judge chucks it out otherwise they'll face a spot in jail for contempt of court! Phil - the amount of interest Man Utd have to pay has gone down after the refinancing, which iirc was £70m. As they have income of over £100m, it's manageable, although a slip out of the top four will be interesting.
  11. Well, those that disagree with SAF find their way out of the club... Van Nistleroy, Stam and Beckham etc.
  12. which board?
  13. I see what you did there, instead of the 5+ pages of debate, you went straight to the conclusion! Anyway, I just like to add that I haven't seen any annoucement of a Fans Forum to postpone, but think it's a good idea.
  14. That can at least be off set with a sell-on clause on his next contract which seems usual practice when setting value for youngsters these days at tribunal
  15. again? it never left and now with Adkins as manager, I'm sure promotion will happen this season.
  16. And the way we are playing we'll be getting quite a few more going.
  17. I think you'll fine Benitez made a profit on his transfers only for the fund for replacements to be less, hence the not so good players coming in, hoping one would make it. Of course he wasn't immune to buying the wrong player when given money with Aquilla (sp?). Hicks and Gillett will not have lost money considering the income from CL and top 4 PL finishes have, I suspect have been syphoned off.
  18. Considering how the team fell out of the premiership in a whimper rather than the fight for survival seen in other seasons, I'm glad the team got broken up.
  19. I think that attack is a bit strong, perhaps patronising in his first sentence which you could either ignore or ask him not to be childish. The rest was spot on.
  20. A shame Pardew left but very happy about the Adkins appointment, in fact for me it's a step up considering their footballing experience, their football style, Adkins' ability to improve the squad without resorting to buying (6 vs 10 player buys per season) and being able to change things in a game.
  21. It's the owners that are rich not the club, I cannot see the Liebherr family dipping into the money bag like Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nayan or Roman Abramovich though which is fine by me.
  22. Yes, my grandad supported them and my uncle used to do their accounts many many years ago so still have a soft spot for them.
  23. Not sure I'd put the blame solely on the referees but they can certainly help by sending them off and the FA to extend the ban if need be. A couple of leg breaks I've seen, the defender has gone in to the tackle with a bad technique where he has gone in for the ball (or man perhaps) with a straight leg with the force going down to his foot. The quicker/smarter attacker plays the ball and the force from the defender's tackle hits his foot/ankle/leg and snap! The other reason which I saw somewhere (cannot remember) on the wear and tear injuries (muscule strains and metatarsal breaks) is that because there is no "winter break" as there are in other european leagues that there is a significant difference in favour of the other leagues on less injuries in the second half of the season. Of course if a two week break was introduced in the English leagues, it would be filled by friendlies.
  24. There is the 8:15 from Southampton Central which arrives in to Carlisle at 14:01 (change at Birmingham) and the last return of the day at 17:33 arrives back at 23:43 (Change at Preston and Wolves). But that's £122!
  25. Are they seeking a review or suing? You have said both. Personally, education is one area that shouldn't be cut, but that's not to say there should be carte blanche spending - money spent needs to be made more effective.
