NC has stated that any decision will be based on the best interest of the club. The timing doesn't fit that mode of operation. Surely, if there were issues last season that were not resolved in pre-season then finding a replacement would be well advanced. I just cannot reconcile the current situation as the best interest of the club.

Considering he was a shoe salesman before coming a manager (and doing well) then I think he would cope with that aspect, it's how he would take to the English league one game that is more of a concern.

TBF it's hard for fans to assess whether they are any good, that's the point of having a development team. I just hope they've done their job and he has shown good technical ability and mental aptitude.

I think the expectation this season is a heavy burden with the players feeling it but there is no point adding to the pressure.

Owen Coyle is developing a good style like he did at Burnley, certainly better than ours at the moment, with players providing width - Petrov and that Korean guy and a decent defensive unit (Jasskaleinen, Cahill and Muamba). Elmander is finalling finding his feet and if he keeps his pre and early season form up, Bolton will be in the top 8.
