  1. Interesting as well as crucial as it removes the 'best' excuse that would be used by any stars agitating and angling for a money move in the summer. It would also certainly give us an indication of what we are up against for the next couple of seasons if we want to become regular features in the top five. I would be ecstatic if we could do it for Koeman first, but also for the myth busting!
  2. This was my first thought too, preparing the ground for sunny climes when the inevitable Levy bullet comes. As a player (in the same position) not fit to polish Koeman's boots, ditto as a manager, and a pitiful disgrace as a man!
  3. Toby by a country mile...
  4. QED - less than 10%, and it's not like watching Brazil...
  5. Spiritual home, and all that...
  6. Here's hoping...
  7. With extortionate pricing like that how do they expect to attract new fans!
  8. Genius! I think we should start a petition to make this dream a vivid reality...
  9. Agree with this! That said, if anyone wants to start a petition to start up an SFC chimpanzee football team, I would happily sign it. We could also get them to do a five a side at half time - hilarious. Win, win...
  10. Bet they choked on their warm orange squash!
  11. The feline equivalent of Alan Cork...
  12. Never liked Bournemouth...
  13. Different player, and in an ideal world we'd have both in the side (but we won't). Clasie is still raw Chez, but a right terrier in defence and a great range of passing in attack - could be our conductor for a few years!
  14. Clasie reminds me of the great Alan Ball in his pomp (a pocket battleship), he would be a super signing for us!
  15. a truly vivid image. I think you may be right!...
  16. I only suggested LC as I work with an Inter fan who made the Feyenoord link (he didn't work out in Milan), so no idea on his situation at Twente
  17. M We may get a journeyman to provide cover (which given the current situation would ease the nerves) but I wouldn't be surprised to see Koeman pull another off radar Dutch ace from his sleeve, someone like Luc Castaignos at Twente, as his contract is up this summer...
  18. Spot on David, I think a few of us fortysomething's are feeling a bit déjà vu at the moment. You have to have faith that those responsible at SMS are all over this, unthinkable that so close to CL and the related money that they won't get a loan in at the very least - doesn't have to be a world beater, doesn't have to be expensive, but we need experienced cover at CF that offers a genuine goal threat. Van Persie is Dutch and out of favour, perhaps Ron could do an Elia on him! ;-)
  19. Born in St Denys, Dad played for Southampton boys and was a pal of John Sydenham and Terry Paine, in the blood so had no choice whatsoever and wouldn't have it any other way.
  20. He actually shat himself. Disgraceful...
  21. We love you Borac, we do...
  22. Heard this over the weekend, and it looks a done deal at £15m. His head is already in Brighton...
  23. Agreed. And it would be refreshing on one level, if exiting players admitted that money was the main reason for their move!
  24. What character our team have - what a sublime week! Great to see the boys in yellow, Elia looks a gem, a pacy shorter version of Kluivert, fans in good voice, Clyne and Cork telepathy was a joy, Long such a grafter, Pelle a rock. We should stop worrying about the red side of Manchester as the blue side may soon have to worry about us!...
  25. We will be OK Ohio - go Buckeyes
