Permanent signing of Dale Stephens maybe - perhaps he only agreed to sign permanently if we went up? I'm sure when he signed on loan, there were rumours that Prem sides had looked at him so could be this IMO.

I think we'll be all but up on Saturday. Poyet has been questioning the Brighton players last effort, in the Sussex press, so I'd expect a response from them if they want to be playing for him next year. Also, a massive plus for them is the return after suspension of Gordon Greer who really holds their defence together. Hopefully, we'll take advantage of Brentford's woes but, even if it's all square going into the last week (or worse!!), I can see us having some joy against both Argyle and Walsall as both sides need points and will have to attack rather than stifling us and hitting us on the break. Feeling positive (but oh so anxious!).

Congrats to the Albion definitely. Most consistent team this season and tremendous resolve not to have a dip in form all season. I just hope we can emulate them and go up automatically too!

I expect the shareholder loan to be from Markus Liebherr if the accounts are to the end of June. The payback in 5 years fits in with comment about being a self sufficient Premier League side in 5 years - kind of explains why we need to be quite rigid with the 5 year plan.

Came on at a really tricky time and tried to play simple passes and make himself available when others had the ball. Gave us a bit more composure really; probably found it tricky because of the situation we were in. Would be interesting to see him start alongside Deano when we're not chasing the game.

I'm sure Ian Harte was LB in the team of the year last year; I believe it was just Andy Scott's selling patois that told us Dickson was the best LB in the division...

JPT final. Spent my whole life waiting for Saints to win a Cup (only 2 when we won the FA Cup) and to do it at Wembley, so easily, was a dream. Don't care if it's only a tinpot cup, it was the first time I was there to see my team lift silverware.

Sergei Gotsmanov. Spent all summer laughing at my Brighton supporting mates because we'd signed him, after he'd had a successful loan spell there, and then he turned out to be toilet.
