Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?
alehouseboys replied to doggface's topic in The Saints
I believe a number of English league clubs are in dispute with adidas following unfulfilled orders, short deliveries and promises not met. You can imagine Cortese's reaction to this kind of service. Maybe adidas are in breach of contract over these issues and it's in the hands of the legal bods and until it's resolved SFC can't take their business elsewhere and producing their own gear is the only alternative? -
They had a promotion of cheap tickets for Fulham supporters in this area.
-
It is a possibility but I think he'll work his wotsnames off to make sure he makes it to Rio. So if all goes well and Juve start playing hardball on paying up in May, SFC could call their bluff and his value could go up with a good world Cup. Bit of cat and mouse but hopefully we'll at least get a chunk back.
-
He knew of their interest last summer but Roma would never have sold to a rival. A good agent gets him a move away from Italy for 6 months...could have been Fulham, Poch was the decider, he settled for us...then plans his return ticket to Juve in Jan. IMO, of course.

The CEO left the club and everything changed. We never sold RL to West Ham either.

Last 2 days posts from page 19 if anyone can be bothered. http://forum.juventuz.org/threads/37498-Pablo-Daniel-Osvaldo-ST-Southampton/page68 Some of these Juve fans are not exactly over the moon at the prospect of Osvaldo's arrival. Others think Juve have structured the deal for a needed short term fix and can then pull out before having to spunk €20m come May.

OK, panic over, there is still 28 hours to go. Phew, that was close.
-
Fook, how did we all miss the transfer window slamming shut, thought there was another 28 hours to go yet? Usually all the big deals are done in the last few hours, obviously never happened this year.

1-3 now. The same challenge to that on Ramirez at Sunderland got City a pen tonight and Spurs go down to 10.
-
http://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?topic=36009.0 Suggesting it's a completed deal, £12.4m.

Yeah, just caught the spots round up. Sweet. Also saw the report on Reading's game and TCWTB has got a new rival in the 'Ipswich Town Crier'. Must have been separated at birth.

FA Cup 5th round draw thread (Sunderland Away)
alehouseboys replied to rickylambert's topic in The Saints
Add to that, the ridiculous situation where each club gets over 31,000 tickets for the semi, then just 25,000 for the final. -
Done this earlier, spread the word.

Agree. Gothic, El Born districts are a good base, short walk to Marina, beach, Ramblers, etc. Metro stations everywhere very easy to get around.
-
Malcolm Waldron was decent backup for Dave Watson and Chris Nicholl.
-
Cortese handed in his notice over 3 months ago, when Krueger says "a while back" he could mean any time since. It would have been prudent to have a contingency plan if NC were to follow through with his resignation.

Actually, the Shrimpers are Southend. Morcombe share the proper nickname of our friends down the road. This Saturday it's the Shrimps v the Shrimps. May the best shrimps win. C'mon Morcombe.

Dejan is, of course, the bigger loss. We needed to sign a CB in this window anyway, if the injury is longterm then we could now do with 2. Greedy but necessary.

I'm sure that's tongue in cheek Bucks but don't encourage 'em...some whopper will no doubt come up with some witty-ditty that'll include the word 'p*mpey' and other inappropriate expletives. Like Markus I feel Ms Liebherr wouldn't appreciate it. Expected and acceptable statement, I hope everyone will now let her go back to sitting quietly in the background. From the outset it's been made clear the vision was to see the club continue to progress but remain self-financing so if the pace forward now slows a bit then so be it. The last Liebherr who stepped up enjoyed a day out at Wembley in his first season, same again would be nice!

http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/35-600-tickets-sold-for-southampton-on-saturday.861889/ They're expecting a big crowd today up around 40k by kickoff...got to be up for this one. Seems they appreciate how TV has dumped on the travelling fans. Again.
-
More than likely, they had to try various ideas to cover up all those empty seats as they regular struggled to fill their little 21k capacity.

I don't know about "hate", that's a bit over dramatic but there's been a bit too much of the personal insults towards someone we we're barely aware of a few days ago. This is a reasonable report... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/nicola-cortese-chose-to-leave-and-was-not-forced-out-insist-southampton-9065638.html I have read that Markus would be turning in his grave at what "she's done", I would think he'd be more likely 'turning' at the insults towards his beloved daughter.

With that £15m he also got a £30-40m stadium, the playing squad and Staplewood, so it's probably quite hard to put a current price on a potentially very lucrative piece of land they call Jacksons Farm.

FA Cup 4th round draw - Sunday 2pm - HOME v YEOVIL TOWN
alehouseboys replied to The Kraken's topic in The Saints
Looks like they'll be reasonable numbers travelling... http://www.ciderspace.co.uk/ASP/news/news.asp?NewsItemId=20962 -
Let's be honest, if it doesn't include the 'P' word, it will never get going.
