You have to admire the Uruguayans tbf - half the size of Scotland and won two World Cup finals. I shall be putting that admiration to one side on Thursday in the hope of smashing them to pieces (tho' not overly optimistic!).

I know, I thought the words in that were sh*te too!

It would be better if it rhymed. At least we'd know this one... Ei-ei-ei-o Up the Premier League we go, And when we get to Europe This is what we'll sing, We're Southampton, we're Southampton Koeman is our king.
-
Koeman without, Koeman within You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Tin-Tin.

Big week next, new manager announced, new kit unveiled, fixtures out and a lot of backtracking from the lightweights who knees went all jerky.

Appalling show of commitment from our players
alehouseboys replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
The scallies are trying to force through these deals on the cheap before Suarez fooks off for billions knowing asking prices will then escalate when they go shopping. Hold fire Saints, we've got all the aces, they're all under long contracts, make them all sweat. -

The same sentiment could be aimed at a few fans too who's knees buckled at the first hurdle. If it happens, f*ck anyone who ain't got the bottle for it, we'll just rebuild and go again. -
...every cloud has a silver Li-Ning. Any guesses on the colour of the away kit?

Kevin Turvey investigates... "got the time on yer cock?" Another sad loss.

When Lowe returned to the club that certainly knocked a lot of fans who voted with their feet. The game after he left the club for the second time saw the crowd jump to over 27,000. The fundraising game was a fook up from the start, poor advertising, no opposition ever announced, not even a definite first team, it was just expected to be made up of ex-Saints, if I remember correctly they were even talking about some of the '76 team turning out! They decided to pull the plug when only around 2k tickets were sold in advance but many more would probably just paid-on-the-day, it was never gonna trouble St Mary's 32k capacity. The fact that it was also looking very likely that we had by then been saved with the takeover took away the need for it.

I read these posts first and thought I'd give it a swerve. But I changed my mind and gave it a go and have to admit I thought it was a decent read. I'm nearly twice his age so have moved on still further with my support, it will always be Saints, it could only ever be Saints, I just accept our standing in the football world. If we annoy the 'big' boys occasionally then f'kin great. The only thing I take real issue with is when my fellow fans put the word 'little' against my club. We ain't a 'big' club (tho' we were outside of the Prem) but compared to most in this country we sit comfortably in the next level, little clubs can't pull in 30,000 in the third division.

I'm sure all clubs have 'em and we certainly appear to have our fair share of bedwetters. If it's like this now, what are some of these gonna be like after we've actually sold a player?

You can't hang that one on the current Board, this is all Cortese's doing. Things were too far down the line to go back, it's own brand for a year and then back to adidas as the rift has now been healed.

Well, this time it appears he's right, it's not Nike. A make-do this season due to circumstances but this time next year we can all get back to just bickering over stripes.
-
Getting big fees for any departures will just make it all the harder to get in replacements as their value will suddenly rocket if we show interest. Le Tiss on TalkSh*the shortly, will probably be asked about loyalty to the club.

That's a shame, Juve's game at Roma is live on BT Sports later, was hoping to catch the second half once I got back from SMS. His reception would have been lively, particularly with a late appearance off the bench.

And it sounds like you've got your head stuck up you arse The Mancs have played up every time they've been down. The OB struggled big time to keep control in the Cup game and there's some still smarting from the last time we played them last game of season when one of theirs got seriously injured in clashes before the game. If ours get on the pitch I can't see there being enough stewards/coppers to contain them.
-
I'm sure a couple of posters on here are on a wind-up but if you do decide to run onto the pitch (and yeah, it would be cringy) don't be surprised to see the mancs quickly join you. If you're up to taking them on then fill her boots.

Ah, you mock but, the open top bus to southsea common celebrating staying up recently saw 250,....well, 250 turn out. It was actually only 50 but that figure doubled within a couple of days and continued to edge up ever since. In 20 years time they'll once again be reminiscing how "250,000 of the world's bestest turned out in League Two, eat that scummaaaahhhhs".
