  1. EXACTLY. I believe we recently (last Jan) had an ex-player doing some Scouting work for Arsenal re Alex. I bet he got paid nowhere near £401,509 for doing that Scouting work by Arsenal even (as rumoured) if he managed to "force" the deal through (leaks to press etc). As certain people know him perhaps they can ask him what the going rate for Scouting is ? imo it is areas like this that raise questionmarks in the cva and I hope the investigators are going into this level of detail.
  2. I think there have been two questionmarks over the Cheats FC using unlicensed agents :- 1/ Chris Le Besque in the transfer of Diarra as per this Sun report http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2944274/Pompey-560k-Diarra-probe.html?print=yes I believe the 560k appeared on the 1st of AA's list of creditors but by the time the 2nd / final one was produced his name was now in the "Scout" column and the amount had changed to £401,509.A 2/ The second was the transfers of Defoe http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jan/08/tottenham-portsmouth
  3. There is another long running case (Riley/Davenport/Andersen) involving the Judge (Justice Testar) in Court 7 that has over run. As of this morning that case was in "Trial (Part Heard) - Summing Up - 10:07". So as far as I know the trial of Storrieteller and Milan has not started yet. They were in court last week for 30 mins "For Mention" (Cases listed for mention in court are usually to fix a date for trial or agree outstanding issues. They can sometimes lead to a change of plea). The Riley/Davenport/Andersen case is due to continue tomorrow. http://www.courtserve.net/courtlists/current/crown/sthwk_T110517.01.htm
  4. "For Mention" at Southwark Crown Court at 9:30 tomorrow Court 7 before Judge Testar. http://www.courtserve.net/courtlists/current/crown/sthwk_T110513.01.htm There is the continuation of another long running case at 10:00, so this is NOT the trial but the "Cold front from Hayling Island" that is going to generate the "Minus 10" t-shirts is not far away.
  5. On a slightly different note "the Pink" had a list (p 21) showing what happened to the automatically promoted sides in following season in the CC. Now if you remember last week "the Monkey" was going on about "in ten years time people will remember who is champions etc. etc..". Well in the 2001/2 season the Seaweed were also Champions on L1 (which I didn't know 9 years later) and they finished 23rd in the CC and were relegated the following season. The runners-up that year were Reading who finished 4th and were in the playoffs. IMO it is funny how history COULD repeat itself.
  6. I think the BBC have just realised that the quotes from his mum (Wendy) on Saturday are important and have made them available. http://audioboo.fm/boos/352005-the-mum-of-southampton-teenager-alex-oxlade-chamberlain-backs-her-son-and-the-club-to-excel-after-promotion?utm_campaign=detailpage&utm_content=retweet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter IMO the 34 seconds says he is staying, perhaps the London press should listen to them.
  7. If like me you were on the pitch and didn't hear Radio Solent's post match Reaction hour it can be heard here :- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00gg1jf/BBC_Radio_Solent_Sport_The_reaction_07_05_2011/ There are interviews with most of the players. Alex bit is 20:50.
  8. The referee is due to be Graham Scott from Oxfordshire. He has only been on the league list since 2008 and was the Ref for last seasons game. This season :- H 0-0 v Notts Co - missed the trip on AOC in the penalty area. a 4-0 v Bristol Rov Last Season H 0-0 v Colchester H 5-1 v Walsall http://refworld.com/referee/196/1
  9. Not directly about the Cheats FC, but the Observer Sports section today has a "Said & Done" section where they have quotes/events from people in Sport. Today has a quote about the financial problems at Swiss club (Neuchatel Xamax), titled "Owner of the Week". Needless to say I was thinking about another club when I read it. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/01/said-done-fifa-brazil-becali
  10. The Ref on Monday is due to be :- K A Woolmer (Andy) from Northamptonshire. A postman who keeps fit by walking his route. He was in charge of the Hull v Palace game today. I don't think he has seen us play well in recent seasons. This season : H v Rochdale 0-2. Last season : a v millwall 1-1 08/09 season : H v Doncastler 1-2. However we won with him on 17Apr2006 H v Millwall 2-0. imo the Football League are giving us nothing, the players and fans are going to have to roll up our sleeves and battle again. For info he has reffed 5 times AT Plymouth in recent seasons 06Mar2010 v Preston 1-1; 27Sep2009 v Forest 0-1; 21Feb09 v Sheff U 2-2; 13Sep08 v Norwich 1-2 and 12Feb08 Barnsley 3-0. So he has a record of 1-2-2 with them. He claims the Best Game he was in charge was a 3-2 away win for Orient :- http://refworld.com/referee/162/1
  11. I've just realised that Brentford have a player on loan from Udders, namely Simpson (No 23) ex Cambridge 17 goals in 28 (+5) games in 2006/7 and ex Coventry. He has started the last 3 games so I would expect him to play. I expect he has been told by "his Club" to kick anything that moves and to phone down a halftime report to the Withdean. The best message we should sent to him for his halftime report is that "Saints are up for it" and that Udders should save themselves for the playoffs.
  12. If I remember correctly somebody had a seating plan back in the 2003/4 season, where users on here put in their seat number and you could hover over the red dot to see who was sitting nearby. It was still available about a year ago (ok the info was probably out of date), but i think the owner has since removed it (it comes up "page unavailable now") Whether he still had it available elsewhere ? It was here http://home.freeuk.com/miker/
  13. The Referee on Saturday is due to be Trevor Kettle from Berkshire. No Saints games this season. Last season he was in charge for the JPT v Torquay which we won/drew 2-2. In 08/09 he was in charge of the Watford home game (0-3), 5 yellows and 2 pens. Using Google there have been one or two sets of fans who dislike him and I think there is even a Facebook Page called "Trevor Kettle is not fit to referee" ?!
  14. Last year we won the League 1 pitch of the year. This season we are only "Highly Commended" ( ? joint runnerup ?) http://www.football-league.co.uk/latestnews/20110426/league-groundsman-of-the-year-awards_2293301_2346994 I still think this is a brilliant effort considering the playing surface was reseeded late in the summer break and imo was only just ready for the start of the season (the real reason for no Ted Bates match). Well done to all the groundstaff.
  15. The BBC extended highlights are now available http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9466955.stm
  16. I looked at the pictures on the O/S and there are a couple with Oscar collecting the ball from behind the "LanGuard Alarms" sign and the Ball Girl is doing nothing. Make up your own mind as to what the O/S is trying to tell us. The Ref tomorrow is Simon Hooper from Wiltshire. This season :- Yeovil (a) 1-1 Last Season :- Carlisle (H) 3-2 and Northampton LC (H) 2-0.
  17. As a TEAM we have only scored TWO league goals this season when Connolly has been on the pitch. Both against Bristol Rovers (Barnard up there in the 90+1th for the 4th and Guly in the 82th to win us a match). That is 2 TEAM goals in the 377 mins he has been in the pitch, imo the worst of any of our players. It has to be Guly starting up front for me. Connolly full record in the league this season :- Plymouth .L 0-1 - Full game Orient ...D 1-1 - 80-90 (10mins) B Rov ....W 4-0 - 79-90 (11 mins) - Barnard scored in the 91th min for the 4th. Rochdale .L 0-2 - 0-61 (61 mins) Swindon ..L 0-1 - Full game MK Dons ..L 0-2 - 0-65 (65 mins) P/Boro ...W 4-1 - 82-90 (8 mins) Brentford L 0-2 - 83-90 (7 mins) Charlton .W 2-0 - 79-90 (11 mins) B Rovs ...W 1-0 - 66-90 (24 mins) - Guly scored in 82th min.
  18. The Ref on Saturday is the man from Wembley last year - Scott Mathieson. This season :- Hartlepool (D 0-0); Last season :- Wembley (4-1); 08/09 :- Charlton a (D 0-0); Cardiff a (L 1-2); Brighton games :- Yeovil a (W 1-0) and in the 08/09 season Tranmere a (L 0-1)
  19. I find it interesting that the russkies have turned up now and whether they have any links to Daddy. As there is a chance that Daddy may be going to get off on the Money Laundering case in Israel. http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=1000624723 http://english.themarker.com/gaydamak-wins-big-round-in-money-laundering-case-1.344712?localLinksEnabled=false So all the bad times the Cheats FC have gone though over the past couple of years, because the "Family Business" had it bank accounts frozen in Israel, may have unnecessary. Perhaps the "thickest fans in the world" should sue the FA/PL and demand their place back in the PL, because NO one believed them when they said Junior was the owner.
  20. The ref on saturday is Dean Whitestone from Northampton. This season :- Walsall 1 Saints 0 Last season : Saints 1 Wycombe 0. One Gas game this season :- Gas 2 Notts Co 1 He was the ref at the Skates game on Tuesday (0-3) !! Also one of this assistants is S.L. Massey (imo when I've seen her she usually gets things right).
  21. The referee is due to be Mark Haywood from West Yorkshire (? isn't that a bit close to Udders ??). No Saints games this season, but he did the Exeter away last (1-1) and the Preston away 2 season ago (2-3). He was ref this season for Rochdale defeat at Peterboro (2-1). At the weekend he did the D&G v Notts Co game and sent off a player, prior to that he did the Cherrys (silly name) draw with Charlton (2-2) which some Saints fans may have gone to as our game against Plymouth was off.
  22. You can hear the Radio Solent 7:20 and 8:20 Sports News here :- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00fs2cm/Julian_Clegg_08_04_2011/ 7:20 - at approx 48:32 to 49:38 ish 8:20 - at approx 1:48:35 to 1:49:20 ish There is less than 10 seconds that say "there is nothing to worry about". As usual Solent give more time to that whinger down the road. I pity his wife because he is always moaning.
  23. The BBC has :- Dean on 9 bookings :- Cherrys (30 mins); Bolton (89); Swindon (90+5); Wed (40); Udders (39); Brentford (51); Exeter (89); Hartlepool (71) and MK (90+2) Chaps on 7 Cherrys (90); P/Boro (71); Udders (78 ) P/Boro (13); Carlisle (32); Walsall (45+3) and Yeovil (37) Jose on 7 B Rov (65); Swindon (69); Udders (90+10); Carlisle (38 ); Cheltonham (84); Hartlepool (82); and MK (87) Question If Dean gets booked on Saturday is it best for him (when we are winning) to get a second yellow in the 89/90 min to get sent off (one match ban) ??
  24. At last http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2331139,00.html
  25. 1/ I may give Frazer a start; - he looked fresh on Saturday compared to Danny who imo was about 75% to blame for the 2nd goal; - he will also be playing against his old club and will want to do well. Also, with Dean on 9 booking we have got to think about who can play anchor in midfield if Dean is suspended. I believe Danny has done that in the past and it may be good to give him a rest for a game before asking him to change roles. 2/ The ref is a Mr T Bates (Tony not Ted) No Saints games this season. Last season - 2-0 v Yeovil (2 pens) 3/ Charlton have just played 8 games in March, i.e. Tuesday and Saturday every week bar Tues 15th.
